okey its not as new as the sidomuncul 2 but the sunsets are second to none. friends and i sometimes stay here for fishing. some of the rooms face the beaches. some just less then 20meters from the water. rooms are clean but the beds are old. don't expect room service, there are none.

There are some hotels/motels/homestay that can be found along the Pasir Putih Beach-Situbondo. But many of them only place to stay without having access directly to the beach/infront of the beach. This hotel Sidomuncul 1 having very good location which directly in front of the beach, it’s cove beach. So it is having calm tide on the sea. Having this kind of  locationis a plus. Because visitor can play and enjoy to the beach directly then after that go back to hotel easily. Hotel have about 12 good room directly facing the beach, separate by small garden and fence. But they also have others room facing front. Don’t be confused Hotel Sidomuncul 1 is the 2nd hotel named Sidomuncul if we took the ride from Surabaya-Situbondo (on the left street side, so Sidomuncul 2 – Sidomuncul 1). Or vice versa then it’s the 1st one named Sidomuncul if we came from Situbondo-Surabaya (on the right side street). It’s important because sometime it’s confused between Sidomuncul 1 dan Sidomuncul 2 (which is because the 1st one from Surabaa-Situbondo is Sidomuncul 2 then people miss recongnize as Sidomuncul 1, infact they are different hotel and loacation).

But this hotel need renovation. It’s already outdated and having old appereance in the room. We booking the room number 10, in front of the beach, then inside the room with old spring bed, old TV Tube with local channel and very bad reception, split AC which is dripping water and noisy when we trurn on and increase the fan speed (so then ww must use the lowest speed and room is not cold enough). Also the bathroom is poorly maintenance, the wash basin is not having properly drainage. But bathroom is equipped with Hot Water from electric water heater and amazingly it’s work perfeclt, so provide the hot water via shower. The rate of this hotel is not cheap so we think it’s overrate with the facility and amnesty we got. But offcourse, they win by location factor. As basically we spend to take a bath in the calm sea, playing the beach sand (pls note it’s not as white as Bali beach’s sand but clean enough) and also rent a boat to see the coral. Then went back easily to our room and clean ourself. For breakfast in the morning they can only provide the fried rice (nasi goreng) and glass of warm tea, each room for 2 person. But in the garden many sate/satay/fried meat and also meat ball seller we can oder.

So basically, this hotel with is room is need to upgrade. But there are still many visitor here despite the conditionjust because it’s having the best location on Pasir Putih beach. Just for 1 night sleep we think it’s okay but for more night to stay,well there may be another hotel/place which is better in price and facility

Good Location Not Sod Good Hotel & Facility

The cleanliness, the breakfast, the facilities are really average. We booked 3 rooms, the room that i stayed got a not so okay bathroom. Still accepted because the water is not brackish, considering the hotel is located in front of the beach. Thank youu
