Amazing service from start to finish! Amazing authentic food but safe for western consumption! Big up to Nikki the owner he treated us like royalty ! Huge emphasis on customer satisfaction and care - also a 2 MINUTE WALK to the Taj Mahal. And the rooms are very good and clean too ! Would highly recommend- he makes sure you get local deals and prices when you leave the hotel. Very happy 😃

Great location for the Taj.  5 minute walk.  Staff were really helpful and friendly . They arranged a taxi to and from the hotel to Agra Fort after we had visited the Taj. They also arranged a taxi back to Delhi in a large air conditioned mini bus. They also warned us of potential scammers and were generally really helpful.  We only stopped one night and the room met our needs.

We loved the Shyam Palace, the entrance is beautiful, and so are the rooms, everyone was so friendly and kind, we had dinner sat outside our room in the gardens. The rooms were very clean and tidy, with coffee facilities and a lovely bathroom area.  

We loved being able to eat such great food, in a hotel that is a stone’s throw from the Taj Mahal, it’s really reasonable to stay here and the food was reasonable also. The curries were delicious, and the people here were so lovely and friendly. We were looked after by Raj and Raju. The owner introduced himself and was a very nice and interesting man, our boys played cricket with the younger children who are part of the family and they made us feel so welcome !

Good backpacker or budget hotel.
Don't expect too much and you'll be happy if you just want something cheap for a night or two. Did not book beforehand. 

Helpful guy with OK English, but tries his best. Helped us with bus information. 

Mr. Nagar was really polite and helpful, more than expected, I paid 500 rs for a main room, it was okay, just keep on mind that if you travel in Winter you may not have warm wáter, for the rest I was happy, it also has a garden. It is 2min walking to get to the Taj Mahal gate.

Good structure, very friendly and helpful staff, they are all very willing to help you. Rooms in good condition. Good restaurant food. The property is very close to Taj Mahal, easy to reach on foot. Very convenient solution. My sister and I had a great time.

Best Hotel Experience in Agra - 2 minutes from Taj Mahal

Very friendly host, very helpful, arranging a taxi for us. Very good location for the Taj and the good restaurants. The rooms do need some maintenance.  Couldn’t understand why we had a red light above our bed.  No ambience. There is a courtyard but we didn’t want to use it.

We stay there on 20th May 2016 , over phone they confirm Air cool room @ 600 All inclusive of taxes in EP plan ( room only basis) , train was delayed so we reach hotel at 3.pm , ambiance is not at all  impressive. However , out of 2 room we ask for in one room Air cool system is not working so they offer another 4 bedded room & one Dbl bed room , in both the rooms Air cool system FAN is not working properly, very poor maintenance. Kitchen is closed, not even tea is available.They don't even arrangement for purified water at Kitchen , no restaurant  . Toilet is so so. not recommended. One surprising thing is they make the record in the register but , don't issue the bill. we travel to Agra once every year , definitely we will avoid this hotel  in near future . Only pus point is close to TAJ West gate

not up to the mark , even you treat this hotel as a budget hotel

We sat down to eat a meal at 12.00 and ordered food from a menu, the area was acceptable old and set in a brick courtyard, restaurant clean and we were the only guests there, we ordered chili chicken, rice noodles and chicken curry , when the chicken curry arrived its look good, my partner started to eat it cutting in to the leg finding it was raw, we shocked has we had waited 30 mins. 
We was told it was fried and that’s how it is, I was shocked by the response of the manager, 5 people attended the table, poking and processing the thought that the chicken was raw, 
We paid the bill and left
