It was the only place on that side of the river in my price range that had openings......I understand why now.
The place is old, but not in a good way, thin sheets, old carpets that had been wet at some point.
To be fair, I am comparing this to other European places, not N America places.

I took the ferry across in the morning to find another place as I was staying in the area to explore the citadel and other things, found a great place just up the road from the ferry landing,...I wish I had known. I found a nice penzion, that was so much better.

Pay the extra for some where else

We spend 1 night in Szalánczy vendégház with my friends in August. 
The house is old, no air conditioning, the room was dirty and we had 1 bathroom (also dirty) for 6 person (even if we had 10 beds in the room). There was no internet connection, even if it was stated in the offer.
The owner of the house was already drunk when we arrived by 6pm, but about 10pm he was even more drunk than us, even-though we were in a bachelor party.
As breakfast we received quite small portion of crumbled eggs and a cup of tea. I asked to change tea for coffee, but finally i haven't received my coffee.
At the end we paid a lot. The invoice was in EUR even if we made the reservation in HUF and the owner requested us to pay also the amount of the commission that he need to pay to Booking.com.
Overall, it was a bad and very expensive experience. I would recommend to all to avoid this house for ever.
