Sarokhaz Panzio

On the street where you find Sarokhaz Panzio, there are many small guest houses. I was attracted to Sarokhaz because of the delightful garden. The owner, Janos, speaks a little English. He is very helpful and hospitable. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. The price was quite affordable. 

This guest house is about a km from the central square.  It's about 10-15 minutes walking or 4 minutes by bicycle.   Kasztely is quite a pleasant little city. 

We stayed in June 2015 for two nights and was excellent. Clean, comfortable and value for money.  Would highly recommend this and the Keszthely was lovely too.  Do go to Lake Heviv we had a wonderful time there as well.

We stayed here in july 2012 and had a really nice stay. The owner is very friendly (although he speaks very little English, he speaks a little German) and was happy to drop us of at the station when we left. The breakfast is very big and will be brought to the door so you can eat it on your own little patio :) The location was good, about a 5 -10 min walk from the centre. The rooms are nice and clean and contain a fridge which was handy. However, do close the lid of the toilet before u flush or you're in for a nasty surprise.. 

If your looking for a great cheap pizza, try Donatello's on walking distance from the hostel, great value and awesome pizza's (try one with cream topping)!

While there are many places to stay in Keszthely, I would reccomend this one.

A simple (though very adequate) room, with a private patio, where your breakfast is brought to you - a huge Hungarian selection of salad, cheese, meat and bread.

The owners speak little English but are very friendly and keen to introduce you to their dog and terrapins. A nice authentic place to stay.
