I couldn't fault this place - the rooms are HUGE, the breakfast is wonderful (homemade jams and chèvre cheese are highlights) and the hosts are very welcoming. 
It's only few min drive from Amboise, having a car is essential. Highly recommended.

This property is very unique in that the 3 rooms available were built into the caves that were formerly used to store wine in ancient times.  They are very large and newly renovated.  The bathrooms are beautifully appointed and modern.  The owners go out of their way to help with information on restaurants and tourist sites.  Breakfast is plentiful with fresh fruit grown on site, juice, coffee, homemade yogurt and omelets if you wish.  Homemade jams are delicious on the bread and croissants.  There is a communal space with, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine and video games.   Local wines are available for purchase.

Our stay at Manoir de la Guepiere was lovely!  Our hosts were very attentive and the room was modern, clean and very spacious.  Our hostess was very eager to provide us with information about things to see in the area.  A beautiful breakfast was included with cheese, bread, homemade yogurt and jams coffee and tea.  Definitely would love to go back!

The property a wonderful chateau, but you only have breakfast in the chateau. A surprise was in store.
We were shown to caves to live as troglodytes for a night, only to find a luxury bedroom and amazing bathroom built into the side of a cliff face. These must have been wine caves at some time. 
A great quality buffet plate (14 euro) was available for eating on the lawn. A wine fridge was available to buy bottles of wine to go with it, (from 6 euro a bottle). All based on a trust system. It's rare when you cannot find a single fault, but this is one of those are occasions. I will definitely be returning for a longer stay. 
Magic...

We stayed one night on the way back to UK.  The guest rooms were converted wine caves so we actual,y slept in a cave.  The room was beautifully decorated and I felt like I was back in the 17th century.   They will supply an evening meal for around 15€. We had quiche fruit and cheeses.  You can buy a bottle of their homemade wine.  Breakfast was in the main manor house.  

We chose this B&B on the recommendation of friends and were not disappointed.  The hosts were affable and very helpful.  After giving us a brief history of the architecture, our host showed us a separate lounge room with extra facilities such as a refrigerator, free pin ball machine, billiards table, and games.  Then we were shown to our massive suite, one of only three on the grounds.  Although set into a cliff, it was decorated in a modern, appealing style.  The bed(s) were extremely comfortable and the room was very quiet.  The bathroom was very well appointed.  The location was only minutes away from Amboise by car and a short distance from the famous Chateau de Chenonceau.  The continental breakfast, served in the main house, included home-made yogurt and fresh strawberries from the garden.  The hostess sat with us a breakfast and used her computer to help us plan the next leg of our trip.
