Residence Shanti

We brought a voucher for a discounted stay in Shanti back in summer and were late to use it. November was not the best timing but managed to make some good walks around Rokytnice, despite chairs lifts being serviced for winter season and all shut. Residence offers a perfect parking and is well located for skiing and walking. Building is well presented and is cosily decorated in Indonesian style with lots of candles and Asian artefacts. There are quite steep stairs and overall would not recommend the stay with small children or for people with limited mobility. We ordered candle dinner by the fireplace and it was a great value for money, lots of it for second day dinner and tasty. Our room Budha was spacious but struggled with water supply as apparently the pump was broken and awaiting service. There was no hot water in the kitchen which caused a problem when washing up greasy plates after meat feast, there is no dishwasher (and microwave) which in an apartment priced over 4 million CZK is strange. Didn't manage shower during weekend because water was on and off there, but sauna was nice although rest room was freezing cold. We were the only guests and I guess the owners are trying to sell apartment to rich people.
