Home Inn Jiefang Road Guiyang

Home Inn - Jiefang Lu I was searching for hotels near the railway station when I chanced about Home Inn - Jiefang Lu.  It's about 3 km from the railway station.  Reaching the hotel - the hotel is situated on an uphill small lane off Jiefang Lu. The taxi's typically stop at the bottom of this lane and then you have to trudge up 30 m. The lane is not the cleanest. It crammed with small shacks selling food. There's always some action outside the hotel till the wee hours of the morning. The hotel is a good option if you like a post midnight snack.  A point of note in Guiyang is that the bus stations are far flung out to the west and east. Taxi's to the west station at jinyang nan Lu are RMB 40 from this place. Similarly taxi's to the east bus station are of similar pricing.  The rooms are like usual Home Inn style. Chinese name - Jia Yu Jiudian.  Long desk area, which is convenient for charging and using your laptop. Two small bed side desks with lamps. Bath had a western toilet, shower cubicle and a nice faucet area.  The ac was not functioning well and they promptly changed my room to another on the same floor.  They gave me a spare card so I could charge my device when not in the room.  You can get cabs in five minutes post going down to Jiefang Lu.  The Motel 168 just opposite has a better location. So if the pricing is similar, you may want to consider that.  All in all, ok value. But have seen better home inns than this.
