While it seems that many tuk tuk drivers/ tour busses seem to drop off here to pressure people into staying here, after dealing with the owner, I believe it is a good place to stay. He helped us get an earlier bus than we were scheduled for, fighting with the bus company on our behalf and then offered us a free ride in his car to the bus stop even confirming it was the right bus. He was extremely pleasant and had a very good English.
