Pousada Refúgio do Selado

Very quiet location and a nice view. Service very good, Rooms clean. There are rooms which can't be reached by wheelchair so you will need to specify. Breakfast in the lower part of the main building, is good and also here you have the Swiss feeling. Internet is like everywhere in Monte Verde more or less. The road up has been recently paved, the only part dirt road is when you turn left to the pousada. From this dirt road into the pousada there is a very steep 20 meters down. Grip is good. Water in the rooms is HOT. They have a very large selection of DVD's. Our TV was an old tube one. We had a woodstove in our apartment but no wood, neither did we have any form of heating so it was cold. Don't know about the other rooms. Part of the charm I guess. Our bed was too short, as both of us are over 1,8m. Need to pull in the landing gear at night.
