Canowindra Riverview Motel

Our room was clean and the bed very comfortable.  Spa bath worked well.  Cleaning staff were very accommodating to any needs in our group.  Parking was a bit tight but thankfully the motel wasn't at capacity.  Could easily walk to the main street of town.

This was not only a lovely, comfortable motel, but also provided delicious Indian food - the best meal we had in Canowindra. It is well-placed near the main road into town and also the high street of Canowindra, Gaskill St. I would recommend this motel

Fantastic price for a comfortable room and bed. 
We were upgraded to a family room with a bath and a very comfortable bed and good heating .
A nice walk in to the picturesque main street and great food at the pub.

We visited Canowindra on 26/01/22 in order to see the wonderful, world-class, Age of Fishes Museum.
We stayed one night in the Riverview Motel.
Reception was courteous and efficient.
The location is a short walk to town and with a landscape view.
The room was impeccably clean and well equipped.
A bonus was the availability of first class Indian food, prepared on site by management.
The cost of the room and meal was very acceptable.
Parking at the door.
We'd certainly stay there again.

We have stayed at this motel 5 times, the hosts are friendly and welcoming and hospitable. The rooms are the cleanest we have stayed in. Canowindra is a quaint fascinating town, lovely cafes and friendly pubs. Haven’t gone up in one of the air balloons but it is very popular. Breath taking views. Thoroughly recommend

A great find 300m from the Main Street. Very clean spacious comfortable rooms.  Modern contemporary interiors. The owner is very helpful and made our stay so easy. Walking distance to the old historic town main st. 

Our room was  very clean and had a modern decor. The motel faces the river and river flats. It is within walking distance of the centre of town say 10-15 mins. 
Bed was comfortable and shower good, Owners were friendly and helpful. There are a few eating options in town including a returned soldiers club plus hotels. We chose the Restaurant in the Royal hotel and the food was good.
Would stay there again if needing accommodation in Canowindra

On checking in the owner was very helpful in suggesting places to eat and offering to make a reservation at a nearby hotel if needed.  Our room was very clean, spacious and nicely furnished.  The queen bed was comfortable, there was good hanging space and a microwave, crockery and cutlery.  The bathroom was also spacious.  There was parking outside the door and it was an easy walk to the historic main street with cafes, hotels, supermarkets etc.

Great location so close to the historic Main Street of Canowindra. Huge rooms, clean and very well presented. Very comfortable and clean beds, generous sized bathrooms with everything one would need. Friendly and very helpful staff, I highly recommend a stay here, you won't be disappointed.

Nice Motel well kept clean & spacious room. Welcomed with a smile by friendly staff  if staying in town you can do much worse. would we stay again yes we would. Just a short walk from main street where you can grab a coffee etc. Remember this is a small country town so you will not find your takeaway outlets. The motel does offer meals & also sells to the locals as the takeaway i found out. We stayed here to do our balloon flight. Please be aware to let the guys know as balloon flights can go over & make checkout times close. Thank you to all the staff keep up the good work.

2022 Anniversary Holiday

While this hotel is a little dated, it's in a good spot, the room was very clean, and even with two beds (double and single) and a small table and chair setting, it was spacious. The bed was comfortable, and the staff were very cheery. 
It's an easy walk to the Old Main Street. Find your way to the Belubula River and cross over the Suspension Bridge- that was fun, too!
This hotel is worth coming back.

I asked the Information Centre about nearby accommodation and they provided a variety so I walked the street to decide on my preferred option. This motel is easy to access from the highway and across the road from the Council pool. Very hot day so air con welcome. Spacious, well appointed, clean friendly. I was lucky to have a ground floor room with my car at the door. Would stay again.

Road trip south

I ended up in Canowindra purely by accident, I missed a turn somewhere - and there I was at around end of a 800k driving day. What a Find, the welcome was warm, the room was spacious, reasonably priced and clean. What a lovely town, and BONUS, there was a hot air balloon festival on, so in the morning there was balloons everywhere. Absolutely beautiful!

Excellent location

I booked the motel based on previous reviews and it was excellent. Conveniently located so that we could walk to dinner. The room we booked had a separate bedroom which was great for my granddaughter. Great host who was always happy to help and answer questions. Spotless accommodation. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

Very clean and comfortable motel.

I visited the motel for work purposes for 3 weeks, I actually stayed in the cottage which was really nicely furnished & decorated. It had such a nice homely feel to it. Bathroom and kitchen had modern amenities and there was a washing machine which I appreciated! The bed I slept in was super comfy also. 

I also stayed in the motel for one night which was much the same, only minus the washing machine, of course! Bed super comfy, wifi connection was great and everything spic and span. 

The thing I loved most about this hotel & what made it stand out from others I think, is the hospitality from the owners. They helped out with my lite n easy deliveries by letting me get them dropped at reception, they transferred my suitcase from motel room back to the cottage, and they took my washing in one day when it was raining!!! Oh and the first night I was meant to stay there, my flight got delayed & I didn’t get into Parkes (1 hour drive away) until about 10pm. They rang me & recommended I stay in Parkes for the night because there would be kangaroos sound on the road at that time! Just the little things that make a BIG difference.

Thanks so much again & I hope to be back if I ever find myself in your neck of the woods again!
