Ink 48 Hotel

We stayed at Ink 48 for two nights before a cruise. Overall, we loved this hotel. Due to hurricanes, our actual cruise destination (Bermuda) was cancelled and we'll try again next year. We'll stay at Ink 48 again, no doubt. The people were seriously nice. Like, from the time we checked in, the doorman, the housekeeper, and every single other staff member who all welcomed us in the door. And we were in and out a lot. Really nice people. The hotel is lovely. We stayed in an upgraded room which was HUGE by NYC standards. We had double sinks in the bathroom, a king comfortable bed, a separate tub and shower. Plenty of space and it was clean and very nice. My one complaint would be that the room was carpeted (yuck) and although the room was clean and I have no specific complaint, carpets in hotels aren't the best. Obviously not the biggest deal in the world and the positives outweigh the negatives, no doubt. The location was perfect. I didn't want to stay "on" Times Square or Broadway. Way too noisy. Let me add here that we spent our first night with a slightly opened window (It looked closed but wasn't latched and sealed) and I was like, "OMG, this is the loudest room I've ever stayed in in my life. I couldn't believe people chose to sleep there. Then, the next day our friends moved in and their room wasn't terribly noisy and we checked our window carefully- and slept much better the second night. Anyway, we went to two Broadway shows in two nights and walked easily to them. There was a fantastic bakery a block away for breakfast and the restaurants we ate at were all walking distance and delicious. The hotel is also a one block walk to the cruise terminal. I honestly can't imagine a better location to stay in our situation. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel, and will be our go to when traveling to or from NYC. In a place that offers thousands of lodging choices, we found one we're happy enough with that we won't look further. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for the great stay.
