Used this hotel on many occasions to meet up with family and always get an excellent service with clean comfy rooms. The staff are always friendly especially Jane and Tammy who always make you welcome and your stay special.

Lovely place to stay. Spotlessly clean. Super friendly staff who can’t do enough to help you - Tammie, Magda, Charlie, Jane and Manu are a credit to Premier Inn. The breakfast and evening meal was delicious and great value too.

Fast check in with lovely woman at desk. Car park on site with charges. Room was clean and spacious for a family of 4. Quiet rooms no outside noise at night. Breakfast was lovely and service was good. Can’t complain. We use premier inn often and we would use this one again!

We used the hotel as a stop off on the way to Southampton Port. We received a warm welcome and the staff were extremely helpful. Evening meal and breakfast were great and the room very comfy. We will definitely recommend this hotel.

Highly recommend. Our family had a fabulous overnight stay. Three rooms all at the top end of what you expect from a Premier Inn. We had a delicious and memorable celebratory evening meal with special thanks to the exceptional staff. Breakfast time was well managed, no queuing, everything you expect was available and there was a relaxed atmosphere. Everywhere was very clean. Praise again for the friendly, attentive staff. Secure on sight car park. We wished we were staying longer.

Great family room. Easy parking and having a restaurant onsite was so nice.

Hotel was fantastic.  All the staff were helpful and polite. A big thank you to Michelle who helped us out today. It was spotless with a great breakfast.   Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area. Very near to Highclere Castle and plenty of restaurants nearby.

Staff were friendly. Cheerful and helpful.  Everything including room was spot on. No issues whatsoever. Would definitely stay here again overnight on our way down to cruise ship in Southampton. Handy location

Hotel was in a great spot, walking distance to Tesco, McDonalds, and there was a huge shopping complex to walk around, and the hotel to these places was all less than a 5 min walk even with little kids. Restaurants was good, and the restaurant staff for dinner and breakfast 10/10 they are helpful and amazing 

Regular visitors to Premier Inn's although firt time in Newbury, they have good locations are fair value provide good meals and can always be relied on to be clean. However this hotel in Newbury is a gem due to the excellent team it has aquired. The weekend we visited they were extremely busy and clearly under great pressure but across the team attitude toward their guests was exemplary always very pleasant and helpful nothing ever too much trouble and no imitation smiles.

Exceptional place to stay

Stayed here as we were going on a cruise from Southampton.  Staff and cleanliness was fantastic. However as usual the staff was doing the job of 3 people very unfair.the restaurant was extremely poor. Next time I will be Dining at macdonalds thats how bad it was. You cannot run a restaurant with minimal staff and expect the quality to be adequate. This is no reflection on the staff they worked so hard and always had a smile on their face.  Shame on you premier inn!!

Overall cleanliness 10/10 staff fantastic food very poor

We stayed two nights about a week apart on our way to and from the Southampton ferry. Both times we were impressed with the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the rooms, location and ease of parking. The first time we stayed, we felt the restaurant was a little farce like with a number of meals not quite being right and staff searching for the right table to deliver desserts to etc. However, on our second night stay we were blown away with the restaurant in a very very busy Sat breakfast session. In particular the duty manager Paula was incredibly impressive - clearing and setting tables to get new tables ready asap, reassuring customers and staff, moving at top speed very calmly, and lots of smiles - nothing was too much for her. 

We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay at Newbury Town Centre

My mum and I stayed in room 2 on the ground floor overlooking the car park. 

As always, the beds were comfy and the curtains blocked out the light for a good nights sleep. It was quiet and peaceful. 

Staff were helpful especially when the air conditioning was stuck at 24 and we got too hot - they managed to override it for us. 

The water for the bath wasn’t very hot on the two occasions I tried to run a bath, even using just the ‘hot’ water with no cold. There were two shower heads, one removable, which is good for washing your hair. Shower gel and hand soap is included and nice quality. 

There was some damp / stains on the wall by the left side of the double bed, and some cobwebs on the ceiling, but otherwise clean and tidy. 

The price was cheap and it’s in a great location. Shops & places to eat are a short walk away, including Domino’s and McDonalds. Supermarkets such as Tesco Express and Sainsburys also closeby. Within walking distance of the train station too. 

There was a hairdryer and USB plug sockets which were handy. Free WiFi which worked fine. We would stay again if we visit Newbury.

Cheap and central location

My fiancé and I have stopped in a few premier inns up and down the country but this was the best stay so far. Dina and Jess were so helpful and friendly and totally made our stay even though they were none stop as the hotel was full both nights we were there . We had a lovely double room which was huge. Dinner and breakfast was also lovely. We will definitely be going back.

Best stay so far

Wonderful hotel. The grounds are very well kept & the hotel is in a lovely location. Would love to return in the summer when you can sit with a nice bottle of wine in the gardens.
We were welcomed by a very helpful lady on reception, (short dark hair), who explained everything about the hotel. 
We didn’t eat in the restaurant but it looked very popular. 
Look forward to returning in the summer.

Wonderful hotel 

The room was the normal high standard of a Premier Inn. Very comfortable bed. We enjoyed a meal in the restaurant in the evening as part of the 'meal deal" offer which we think is very good value. We had an excellent breakfast which was made all the more enjoyable by our charming waitress, Michelle. Thank you.
