Stayed at the hotel on two occasions at the end of September and early October. Atmosphere was relaxed with very friendly and helpfull staff. On the second occasions I arrived with my car on a recovery truck after having an accident on the M1. Staff on duty that night couldn't have been more accomodating. Although restaurant service had finished the gentleman on duty made sure I had something to eat and drink before I retired for the night. The next morning I couldn't thank them sufficiently as I was allowed to use the hotel landline for several hours to contact and liase with my insurance company. Good size single room with very comfortable bed with coffee/tea making facilities plus lovely biscuits. Full English breakfast was also very good. Hotel and gorgeous manicured gardens. A great venue as a base to explore the beauty of Derbyshire.
