Bude Holiday Resort

We've just come home from a 10 night stay in a Luxury 3 bed caravan and it has been absolutely fantastic. We arrived a bit earlier than the 4pm check in but our caravan was ready so we were able to go straight to it. Check in was quick and easy which is what you need after setting off at 5.30am. The caravan was lovely, it was clean, modern and had everything we needed including a washer/dryer and a seating area with a good sized table and chairs. I have an autistic child so we aimed for some thing a little quieter compared to places like Newquay (which was also fantastic last year) and a place with a little less buzz and more calm. We noticed how although a lot of caravans and lodges were occupied it didn't feel busy or loud at any point. The outdoor pool was clean, warm and the life guards were lovely, they interacted with the kids and my son took a liking to one of the lads which was nice. We never had a problem booking a slot and could go whenever we wanted really. The bar and restaurant was always quiet but it was clean and the bartender was friendly. We got fish and chips for a take away treat and it was really nice and ready for pick up at the time we selected. There is a decent sized arcade area with a pool table, although a lot of the machines were broken when we went it wasn't a major issue for us and things like that happen. We were pleasantly surprised how close Bude town centre and the beaches were. We only used the car twice to go up to Devon for the day and a shopping trip to Morrisons. We went on foot for our beach days which was nice not having to contend with parking. The park doesn't have a shop but Sainsbury's is only 5 minutes drive (20 minutes walk), it was actually beneficial for us not to have a shop as my son can get a little obsessed with them. I would absolutely recommend this site and area to anyone wanting to slow down and relax. If we weren't planning on an abroad holiday next year we would definitely be coming back, I'm sure we will in the future though. I didn't get many photos of the accommodation but I have attached some of the beautiful beaches just a walk away.
