Hotel Stavilar

We went there to visit Sinaia . The hotel is really close to Peles Castle ,Pelisor Castle and Sinaia monastery , like 5-7 minutes by walk . The room was nice,clean and chilly even through we didn’t have an AC . We didn’t have an iron in the room but the housemaid help us with it . The staff of the hotel and the restaurant is very friendly, helpful and nice . If you are looking for a restaurant, trust me, their restaurant have very good food and cheap prices . 
Overall was a great experience and we will come back every time we can . Thank you for this experience! 

Its not a 5 start, but its just awesome , clear, easy to access, food is good tasty, not expensive and near Peles Castle. Warm clean rooms, the bathrooms are nicely arrangeed , have floor heating i guess. they looked surprised ive had a booking thorugh a website, which btw i will never use again - it was just a habit to go through them.

A very nice hotel with arhitecture from the begining of the 1900. The staff was polite and helpful! The only downside is that during my first day the room was a little bit chilly. The hotel is situated on the road to Peles Castle. The surroundings are very beautiful, more so during snowy days!

The best food we had during our stay in Romania. We didn't stay in the hotel, but we stoped for lunch before heading into the mountains. We were warmly welcomed, they had a large choise of food and the prices are normal for Romania. The touristy food near the castle is not good and overpriced.
We had each a bowl of soup and afterwards the pork knuckle with cabbage and shnitzel with mushrooms. Everything was perfect. We would highly recommand this place.

Quiet place, nice and helpful staff, good breakfast. We were surprised because we thought that nothing is gonna be ok judging from the price. We didn't find available rooms in other hotels in that period so it was a must to go there. But we had a nice surprise. And we recommend the place if you don't want luxury and you need a place to have a good breakfast and a good sleep.

I recently stayed here while attending a congress.
On the plus side:
- close to Sinaia Casino and Peles Castle
- fairly clean
- nice architecture from the outside
On the down side:
- the rooms are very dated and boring. And when i say boring i don't mean i should be entertained by the room, but they look like student lodges or hostel rooms and have no charm
- if you come back later in the evening you have to cross the big parking lot of the hotel + restaurant IN THE DARK. There are even signs to beware of wild animals like boars and bears.
- the carpet is very stained... no idea from what.
- i had 2 small bugs.
I wouldn' t come here again.

Stayed for 4 nights, had a room at the upper floor. 

Location is great, near Peles castle, near a small stream.

The room is clean but looks a bit worn out, sheets are clean (yet have a few stains that did not cleaned properly), the blanket on the sofa looks old. The mattress was new. The floor is squeaky (in the hallway and in the rooms), and you can hear when people come late at the hotel. 

The heating was working and it was nice and cosy, there was hot water at the shower. Shower cabin had a bit of mold.

The staff is really nice and helpful. There are four options for breakfast, we enjoyed the omelet with cheese and ham. Good breakfast. Not so happy that all the frying smell from the kitchen would get in the restaurant. 

Wifi is great, good connection, good speed from everywhere in the hotel (and around it). Free parking.

Good place to stay

We waited almost an hour for the dish. Did not get fork, napkin, the food was cold and potatoes almost raw. The waiter was extremely slow and he was drinking coffee and joking with a waitress instead of doing anything for us. Just don't go to this place. Worst restaurant ever.
