Very nice small scale Quinta with 10 rooms with bedroom and seating area. Wonderful breakfast hampers delivered…generous choice of quality options. Pool, tennis, table tennis, pool and table football all at hand. Gentle caring staff. Only downside is lack of many walkable dinner options.

This was my second visit to the quinta and this was as enjoyable as my first many years ago.
The rooms are sizeable and are in keeping with the area, traditional and comfortable.
The owner is a wonderfully friendly man and he is well assisted by his wife and staff.
Great for a few days and a good base to explore the region from.

We stayed here on April 30 and May 1, 2013.  This lodging is located within easy reach (by car) of Viana but well within the rural wine country.  It is well marked, so easy to find by car.  It’s called a quinta (manor), but  I felt like it was more of a hacienda-style, the rooms in-line in two one-story buildings, each with a porch.  The owner is a pleasant and helpful woman who obviously is very proud and particular about her place.  It is virtually perfect in every aspect, with much attention to detail.  We were lucky to be the only visitors, but with only 10 rooms, it wouldn’t be a problem with the rooms well spread out.  The room was very nice and quaint, with a good-sized bedroom, living room with TV, good bathroom and, as I said, good porch for sitting.  A portable heater was provided because the hot-water heat was off and the air was chilly.  There is no restaurant on-site, but there are several adequate “typicals” in the area.   We were very comfortable in our two-day stay here.

lovely people. tranquil and family friendly. it was the second time we stayed in this little hotel with the two children of us. 
very close to the river and beach. a car is a must but there is also public transport.

Friendly, helpful  owners, warm welcome, well tended garden, simple functional accommodation next to pool, good for a couple of days due to  tennis court and near by excellent restaurants.
