Umeda Dormitory

We were not planning on staying in Osaka but after trying to book accommodation in Kyoto with no success (it was a holiday weekend apparently) we gave it a go. Everything was extremely expensive so for our budget, Umeda Dormitory was the best option. We enjoyed our stay very much, thanks to Kazu who was always super happy to help and we shared very nice conversations with him. Facilities were great, we could make our breakfasts and dinners as there was a great supermarket close by. Shower was 100 yen for 6 minute which was more than enough for us and washing machine also a small fee. Although the room was super small, the bed was comfortable. Maybe if we stayed longer we would stay somewhere else just to have a bit more space, but it was fine for us this time. The only down side of our stay (and this had nothing to do with the place itself) was that the first night, another guest stole some money we had on the kitchen bench while friendly talking to us. Had to go and knock his door and ask for it, which he returned. And then a group of Chinese people were staying on our same floor and were extreme loud at all times (specially after midnight, when you are trying to sleep). Overall, we had a good stay and probably would come back if staying for a couple of nights.
