We (3 sisters) stayed at this place for 2 nights. Breakfast was very nice (perfect coffee!) and the location is great (at Malacon, directly at the sea).We took a bike taxi which was only 10 CUC ands about 15 minutes to the old center. It is a little hard to find, but there are enough nice people to point you the right way. Thank you so much for this nice stay!

First of all, the hotel is being modified. Her man is working alone to tune this hotel. The first impression when you open the door is WOW the living room part is already done, and the veranda has an amazing view over the ocean. He knows what he is doing.
For our room, it was big enough, they put in there a second bed after I request it (I didn t want to share a bed with my mom). The bathroom is already new, and was very pleasant to see. 

Sleep was very good, the mattress is quite compf. Unfortunately I was just 1 night there as it was our last night in cuba.

from there to the old town it's like 20-30 min walk, or a short taxi trip. Personally if you want to do the old town only and only walk, then I suggest to rent something in that area. 

only thing which I could complain about, is that the room is quite dark. but that's all. But I have to admit from my 5 casas I took, one was only bright with sunlight

Very helpful casa owner - Chely helped us with taxi, other casas and gave us a lot of great tips, clean rooms, amazing view on Malecon, delicious food (ask also for
 dinners, well priced and very tasty). 

We are so happy ,about this place, ,,it was very clean, airy and the breeze from the ocean amazing. ..we stayed 5 days.  The owner Mrs Ana such a lovely lady ,I recommend this place it's really big each room has a private bathroom ...you will have the most beautiful sunrise. ...

We stayed in this house for 5 days, it was 11 of us between friends and family. The view is amazing, it is close to everything and 5 to 8 minutes from Habana vieja in a taxi. The hosts were great, always helpful and attentive to whatever was needed. The house has a very nice balcony facing the ocean, everything is nice and clean, hot water, freezer in the dining room area to keep any cold drinks as well as a small fridge in each room. Every room has an individual bathroom. we were all very pleased with everything and will definately stay there again on my next trip in July.

The guest house is well located on Malecon at about 30 min walk from Old Havana. My room was a triple, big enough and with a high ceiling , clean, equipped with a small fridge and his own bathroom ( no soap or shampoo from the house) . The breakfast is average and the same every day but the terrace where where is offered have a wonderful view of the sea and Malecon. The location do not offer wifi and none room have a tv. In the late evening, when to check in, for me was very difficult to find the entrance as is in a small gang between two buildings.  Also the stairs that reach the floor where it is located the guest house is far away from a hotel entrance.
Tip: For those who travel on budget and dislike to pay 30 CUC to a taxi from/to airport  as I did when I came to Havana (which is robbery related the transportation prices in Cuba )  especially if there are no big luggage's can take to the airport the bus P16. The P16 beginning of the line is just in the park close the pension. The ticket price is ridiculous low  ( 0,05 CUC ). By jumping on the bus at the beginning of the line it is very possible to find a seat on the bus chairs. Please be aware that the bus on the way to the airport get crowded and it takes approx. one hour to get near the airport (Boyeros)

Four of us had booked two triple rooms, desiring the second bed in each room. We arrived one hour after check-in hours had begun and after ringing every doorbell at the gate and yelling up the stairs, we finally lassoed a local merchant to phone the hostess so we could enter the building. Anna, the hostess, informed us that one of our rooms would be smaller than what we had booked and in a separate unit upstairs. Since the description never mentions this possibility, we were quite surprised. Anna explained that she had given the triple we had already paid for to another guest because we "were only two people needing a room so why did we need a double and a twin bed?" Well, it doesn't matter why. We booked two triple rooms and had prepaid for them. And, the only other guest we ever saw was one elderly man. After much stress and discussion and confusion, Anna offered us a small room with a double bed, and to make up for the "oversight", she would not charge the additional $11 for breakfast for that room. If we were not so tired from a long car ride from Vinales, we would have forgone this booking and found another place somewhere else. Not only was there a definite element of untruth going on that made us uncomfortable, Anna wasn't nice about any of it. She just appeared annoyed and exasperated, like something was happening to her instead of to her guests.

That night we all slept well. The triple room is roomy, although it is right over the Malecon so gets all the street noise (bring earplugs). My son and his wife slept well in the small room at the back of the apartment. The small sitting room with high ceilings is sweet, having all the light from the sea, although there was an ashtray on the coffee table that was full of butts, so the apartment is actually not non-smoking, as advertised in the description.

We enjoyed breakfast on the patio with a lovely view of the sea. The breakfast was just okay - by now we'd been in Cuba for a week and knew a good breakfast. There is a hefty extra charge for coffee, which was explained to us in a less than hospitable way. Despite the staff's negativity and the severe damage which makes the balcony downright dangerous, I could've sat there for hours. I would NEVER allow children on the balcony as the large hole on the side is two stories up and big enough to fit six preschool kids through.

The photos of the dining area on the website must've been taken years ago because now there is limited space on the dining table as it is covered in stuff, as is the dining room. There was no WiFi, or it was down because of tornado damage according to the hostess. Still, it would've been nice to know this beforehand, especially since the tornado had happened 5 weeks earlier and we could've made other arrangements; so, the description is misleading. Although we did not need them, there were no bathroom amenities, like soap or shampoo, provided, although the description says they are. 

With all that being said, the unit is on the lovely Malecon, not far from the Spanish Embassy. The view to the city is beautiful.The front triple bedroom is comfortable.  The balcony has a wonderful sea view; just keep your fingers crossed that the whole thing doesn't crash in while you're on it. 

These people are the only ones in Cuba with whom we did not become fast friends or exchange gifts and emails or swear to return to again. We could've overlooked the issues with the hotel itself, but the staff interactions with us really made it an unpleasant experience.

Not the Only Malecon Hotel with a View

I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU STAY AT THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP!!!!(I stayed 2 nights!!!!)  IT IS VERY VERY NOISY!!! Although not Dirty, they say you have a 'Mini Bar' Restaraunt, Snack Bar, SOUND PROOFING, Plasma TV,  & 24hr reception...
ALL NON EXSISTANT.....
THE ROAD NOISE IS HORRENDOUS!!!!
People Talking & Smoking (with the SMOKE coming into my room!!) on the Balcony outside my room!!!!
Also says 'Entire appartment' on the Ad, but fails to mention you have to walk through another appartment to get to it!!! And its Not an Appartment as such!!!! 
I spoke with another Guest and he the same as me, he would NOT recommend staying there!!!
