318 Express Motel Xichang

Xichang is a travelers hub to Lugu Lake, therefore my ever smart girlfriend book for us this hotel just for a night. Check-in was swift, the place itself was clean, Quiet, there were CCTV around which made it safe. A convenient store attached to the hotel. The Room was average size and it was clean with fresh towel, attached bathroom, AC, free toiletries. Flat screen TV. Complimentary Breakfast, porridge, eggs, noodles and some local cuisine. There many local food just around the corner of the hotel and also a Train ticketing counter. Xichang lies near the border of southern Sichuan and is in a rather mountainous region of the province. Therefore if you taking the bus it could be a windy one. You may also take a Train but be sure to book it 1st as it could be pretty full. You may take the sleeper or sitting. We took the bus instead. The city also possesses its own airport, Xichang Qingshan Airport. There s a place called Qionghai lake is situated near the city center and is magnificent where local come do some fishing. Walking distance from the lake there is also a lovely BBQ stalls. In cool weather, it’s awesome more so having a bite with your love one. Xichang is also famous for its satellite launch base for the Chinese space program. Before leaving back to our lovely Chengdu, we stayed in the same hotel again. Not sure we will be back for now, but maybe someday in the near future. Thanks to my knowledgeable Girlfriend to make this trip possible.
