Dali Buxianshan Boutique Guesthouse

We booked the spa suite and loved the layout. The room is on the third floor with a view of the mountains and a built up round tub area. The lady who works at the front is so kind, gave us tips for Dali and helped us rent an e scooter which was delivered right to the guesthouse while we were out for breakfast. The hotel has a patio area on each floor that you can hang out in. The laundry area has two clean machines, they provide laundry detergent and there are outdoor clotheslines with overhead cover. The location is pretty good and there are many good restaurants within a kilometer walk. It is near the main parts of the Dali Ancient Town but it is a much quieter area which is very welcome. There is a cool craft beer place, some BBQ, lots of dumpling and noodle places and cooking stone places very close. The western style restaurants are all within a 10 to 20 minute walk We loved the room at the hotel and used the tub to soak in both nights we stayed. The bed and sofa are a little bit on the hard side but we were fine with both. The hot water is solar heated so it can be a little tricky to get the showers just right. One thing that could be improved is a sliding door for the bathroom - the fan is strong enough but the curtain doesn't stop the spread of you know what I mean! The guesthouse does not have an elevator. The guesthouse is a little hidden but it has signs at the end of the alley pointing to where it is. Would highly recommend this place for clean rooms, personable service and the quiet area.
