Clean. Affordable. Convenient. Comfy beds. Kind staff.  All boxes checked if you’re not into flashy expensive places.  Would definitely stay again!

Very clean room.  Office staff was very pleasant.  For the price, it’s a nice, comfortable place to stay

This was a great basic clean room for our overnight stay.  The staff is super friendly and we enjoyed cooking our dinner, using a picnic table on the campground next door where we could also watch a great sunset !

This quaint motel is no frills but it shows in the price and is excellent value for the money! I especially appreciated the cleanliness. It is small family run business with a subway and Esso gas station / convenience store easily within walking distance. I suggest going into the downtown for fresh baked bread and a few groceries as there is no restaurant attached but our room came with a mini fridge and microwave. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and just the bare necessities are provided for showering including soap and linens. It is a very quiet building as it is built out of concrete or cinder blocks and we did not hear the neighbors, the highway or anything through the night and one of us is a very light sleeper. The air conditioning worked very well also. We will certainly put this one on our favorite list!

Room is VERY clean, bed comfortable.  Plenty of hot waterOne of the  Cheapest prices yet simce we left ontario.

Excellent value!!!

I rolled up on the motorcycle and removed my helmet and was greeted by a little girl who politely chimed “would you like a room?” Simply delightful and all other interactions with the front desk weee equally pleasant. Room was ample for an overnight stop. It’s exactly what I needed for my purpose, rear and sleep. Comfortable and welcoming on a budget. Recommended

We have stayed at A1 for the last several years while on fishing and camping trips in the area.This was the first year I had to put a deposit of $50 down and return the key in the morning to get my money back. Had to wake up the manager at 6:30 am  to get my $ back. Hated to do that as we were leaving early.I don’t like this rule and would rather just leave the key on the room as we’ve done in the past.

We wanted to do a couple of days fishing at Crawling Valley, but did not want to camp due to the weather and hard ground.While this property is old...it is an old school motel... it was :clean,the water was hot, super friendly service,there was a fridge and microwave,we watched hockey on the tv.My boy was surprised at the tiny soaps and only a few towels but he has been spoiled at Sheraton level Hotels.  This was great for hotel camping.  It was more comfortable than a tent and cost about the same when you consider the cost of firewood and ice.Not fancy but clean and cheap.

I’m travelling with the dog. This place is quite as have quick access to the parking. It’s perfect for me.

The lady at check in was very helpful. The room was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable. Slept well there. The green hand towels were a nice touch.
