Shades

Spent 5 great weeks at Shades on the West Coast. Went with daughter for first 3 weeks, and then moved to larger appartment when joined my the rest of my family. Communication prior to the visit was excellent and our needs were accommodated including ordering a taxi to collect from the airport which was seamless. We received a very warm welcome from hosts Rochelle/John. Shades is a tranquil setting set back from the road a real hidden gem with pool for days you want stay in. It gave me the privacy needed and we felt very safe and cared for. Lovely local beach about 5 minutes walk but buses run frequently at the bottom of the gap to go up to Holetown (where we spent a lot of time) , Speightstown etc or further South to Bridgetown. We ate out a lot too, many local places to eat all delicious. Supermarket was a 5 minute drive or 20 walk away (we walked a few times early in the morning when cooler). Our hosts were attentive and available throughout the visit and surprised me with a lovely card and bubbly for my birthday. I would happily stay here again.
