Perfectly situated and with great views of the city!
It was our first time at a boutique hotel and we are definitely hooked, after long days of activities we felt as if we came back home, I would just go to the living room to search our next adventure, my wife would go to the terrace and enjoy the view and our kids would just wonder around the pool, gardens, hammocks downstairs or the many places to relax we did not feel confine to our room or the lobby as in big chain hotels.
The staff was very attentive and were always trying to make us feel at home and boy they achieve it.
Very glad that we choose Valverde.

A completely New Experience

In the pictures look one thing and when you get there another thing ..my wife and I were suppose to stay there 12 days but we only end up staying one day bcuz it feels like you living in a regular house and they don't even have a restaurant. .you gotta call to restaurant to bring you food and there's nothing to do...and such a small pool ...

I stayed for 2 days, this hotel is really nice, they have a nice pool and a really nice view of the city. Staff is very friendly, they even ordered food for us, they also sell some drinks. Didn't like they don't offer botled water for free as most hotels do, but you can buy it for about 1 dollar

Very nice boutique hotel

This is a great quiet hotel. We were greeted by the staff upon check in. The rooms are really good also the baths. The view is amazing , we took pictures with my friends since arrival . The best was the breakfast ...the staff woke up really really early as we had an early flight to catch and we were a large group. Also if you need transportation , they have a great contact . Ask for him, puntual and clean car.

Great Hotel!

Hotel Valverde is wonderful. 

The building is essentially a large 5 bedroom house with quarters at the rear for 'the help', it maintains hotel quality service but with a private and intimate atmosphere. 
For the 10 days we stayed we had a different breakfast every morning, varying in taste but not in quality.  The room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom (although we did have hot water) was a bit on the scruffy side.

The staff there were very friendly. If you go, please make the effort to speak a little Spanish, they will appreciate it a lot, they probably don't get chance to learn English but I'm sure they would if they could. 

The view of the city is fantastic, the balconies and garden are really what makes this place special. With fabulous vistas and an ornamental pool, we could have lazed around there all week (if there weren't so many other cool things to see outside the city). The pool probably isn't intended to be ornamental but it's so small that I don't imagine anyone swimming in it, maybe to cool down during the blazing afternoon hours, but you definitely won't be swimming any 'lengths'.

The hotel location, although beautiful, is far from the centre. Now for us, this was good because we found the city to be noisy, dirty and intimidating, and we also had a car. But if you want to walk around the city you'll have to get a cab.

I would definitely return to Hotel Valverde and highly recommend to anyone visiting the country.
