Xperience St. George Homestay

Had a 2 week holiday here last week July/August. Honest review based on our experience. For the price paid it's exceptional value. There are lots of positives about this hotel and the staff are amazing. Just a couple of niggles but that is down to personal preference. The food is a bit of a let down plenty of it but quality is poor. The rooms are dated but are spacious and comfortable. The location is a bit isolated if you like walking. Evening entertainment a bit of a let down. There are 2 pools one offering entertainment throughout the day and another one which is quiet. No music etc. They both offer different experiences of holidaying it's just your own preference. The barman at the quiet pool Akram was fantastic.he worked so hard throughout our time there in 50 degree heat. He Always had a smile on his face brought you drinks around the pool when not even asked for he got to know his customers! he really enjoyed his job and engaged with the tourist's all day long what a credit he is. The towel guys are brilliant I think he's called Madjek couldn't do enough for you putting towels out moving sunbeds and putting umbrellas up and down all day brilliant. Another staff member stood out Ibrahim he runs the Indian restaurant (Nathan's) which is payable above the buffet restaurant. He is such a hardworking individual and truly deserves a successful restaurant.his attitude is so lovely always smiling and joking he works tirelessly all day and night. Also a mention to Eihab I think that's his name the lobby bar manager he takes care of guests with his team very professionally another asset to the hotel along with Sameer the waiter. There are 2 beaches to visit coral and sunny beach. We only went to sunny beach a free bus is provided bookable in advance and takes approx 10 mins. At the beach there are free towels loungers and parasols. The bar is included in your all inclusive and lunch is served at 12.30 basic but edible. The beach is private and lovely music is playing and the water is warm. There are watersports available if you wish and very reasonably priced. Evening entertainment is a bit of a let down but the lobby bar is nice to spend the evening before heading out. There is free bus to naama bay and old town again bookable in advance however hotel taxis are cheap and Bob and George the taxi drivers are fabulous. £5 each way into naama and £10 to Soho square a must even if for 1 night. Cleaning staff are on hand all day replenishing water daily if needed offering clean towels and bedding daily too. We had a fabulous holiday and met loads of nice people during our stay especially the family from Maidstone 😁 and our Welsh compatriots from Wrexham 😁. We would honestly highly recommend anyone to try the George for a holiday in Sharm. It offers a warm caring environment to truly enjoy your holiday in the blistering ☀️. It's not 5 star hotel but neither is the price tag so go and enjoy. We have booked again for Christmas and March 2026.
