A couple of reviews here need some credibility. I have stayed at Memnon Apartments twice and owner has been great to deal with . Units are nice ,priced well and kept well maintained. Beautiful rooftop deck with nice views . Bring a bottle of wine and enjoy the sunsets. Units are from one bedroom apartment to larger .Walk to numerous restaurants and 10 minutes walk to stores for groceries and fruit etc. I travel all over the world and know well the difference between a great place to stay and on not , Memnon Apartments are very good and enjoyable for a nice vacation base.

Great location, Pleasant Owner ,Nice Units.

Great hotel. Separate chalets. Nice breakfast and the opportunity to book the balloon ride from the hotel owner, Mr. Mohamed for a fair price. The hotel has the swimming pool and the gorgeous cafe with the view of the Nile River. Definitely recommend 

Excellent say in Luxor 

I discovered Memnon Apartments by accident back in 2008 when a booking with another agent fell through, and I've kept going back. The apartments are really well appointed and spotlessly clean. An added bonus is the spacious roof terrace which gives splendid views over the Nile to Luxor in one direction and to the Theban Hills in the other. To be up teher at dawn or under moonlight is a truly unforgettable experience (see photos).The position is very convenient for visiting all the sites of the west bank and catching the ferry over to Luxor, There are a number of good cafes and restaurants within walking distance at both Ramlah and Gezira. The owners are lovelypeople and really easy to contact to make additional arrangements such as hiring bikes which we did on this occasion. The swimming pool is great for a refreshing dip after a day visiting temples. I could go on but, to be honest, part of me doesn't even want to write a review because I'd rather keep these apartments as my own little secret ;-)

Fifth time here - still love it!

The owner of this building is very rude , disrespectful , intrusive and imposes himself upon you. I was made to feel very unwelcome and awkward to the point where i had to leave and rent another flat after paying for the full 3 weeks making it an expensive holiday. Ladies if you holiday alone stay somewhere else as if you refuse his invitation for a drink and dinner it will become very uncomfortable for you. The flat and pool are lovely if you was left alone to enjoy them.

Well I loved this place, my husband booked it and I was delighted. Lovely and clean, we had the ground floor apartment and only one other French lady staying. A perfect holiday, very close to the ferry and big restaurant. I found the owner charming, his English perfect, very pleasurable experience.

Memnon Apartments

This apartment is located on the West Bank within easy walking distance of the public ferry and water taxis which can take you to the East Bank.  Mattar, the owner, was an excellent host and can arrange for your touring needs at very good prices.  The apartment itself is clean and modern.  It has a rooftop sitting area with a good view of the river and the surrounding area.  It is on a quiet street, away from the city centre.  Overall, an excellent experience.  We were very happy that we had stayed here.

Excellent modern and clean apartment

Great location, very close to the Nile and just a few minutes' walk from the local ferry. Large, spacious and airy rooms; a huge roof terrace with views of the Nile and Luxor Temple; and a private pool. Having read Sheila W's review, I felt compelled to leave a review of my own, as my experience has been very different from that cited in her review! For a start, none of the apartments have 5 rooms - they are all 2 bedroom apartments - and, although the ground floor apartment does have a door which opens onto the 'driveway', it's in no way public. Finally, the owner is a quiet, respectful man, who in no way fits her description. Perhaps she meant to review another property.

Great Place to Stay in Luxor

The owner of this building is rude,intimidating and disrespectful. The apartments are very poor.  The only redeeming  feature is the pool. It's not a private situation, anyone entering or leaving will pass by the ground floor apartment. The facilities are basic to say the least. Furniture is old,grubby and worn.no comfort whatsoever.
