Tiab House Hotel Cairo

I stayed at the Tiab House Hotel in Dokki, Cairo recently for 2 visits over 10 days. Whilst the hotel is very tired in appearance and facilities are very basic and need refurbishing, it is an ideal hotel in terms of cheap, very quiet (off the main streets), and a very nice friendly management team. The daytime manager (who speaks very good English) is a very nice and accomodating man who went out of his way to make sure i was comfortable, and the evening manager was also very friendly. The daytime receptionist ( a young woman) didn't speak English, but was very smiley and tried her best to help. Being a single foreign female, i felt very safe there and the management were very helpful if i needed any asistance and information. This hotel is ideal for backbackers or /and small groups on short stay visits, being very cheap and close to all amenities ( restaurants/coffee shops/ metro) A very small hotel with great customer services.
