Oh, what an amazing place! Galapagos safari camp is situated at the top of a mountain with beautiful views over the plains all the way out to the ocean. Sunsets are beautiful. But by far the best thing about this place is the staff. So incredibly friendly and accommodating, they think of every little thing to make, our stay perfect. They have a wonderful chef, who prepares gourmet, top quality, fine dining, and they serve it just like you’d expect of a Michelin rated restaurant.

Are they have beautiful wooden tables with wood from Indonesia and some wonderful art spread out all over. A very nice infinity, pool and lots of birds. There are a number of tents that are very nice, but if you can get the owners suite, it is, really fantastic with air conditioning and a very modern bathroom and super comfortable. It even has a couple of bedrooms attached if you have a large family.

Stefanie, the host was super friendly and helpful, and our nature guide Jose must have a PhD in Galápagos history and nature, because he was just so smart, and really brought out the best in our nature walks.

Very fun to walk around in the town and the staff arranged for wonderful meals at really nice restaurants with beautiful ocean views.

If you’re going to go to the Galapagos, which I highly recommend, it was very fun, this Galapagos safari camp is definitely the place to stay.

The only tiny negative was the road that leads to the camp. It is a dirt road and it has over 20 kind of bumpy things that make you have to almost stop the car, so it makes the drive annoying. It’s only seven minutes but it would be good if they pave that road assuming the government allows roads to be paved.

Great experience with nature; super comfortable!

What can I say about the safari camp that others have not gushed about already? The location is incredible, you wake up every morning to see the ocean and maybe be greeted by a few tortoises on the way to breakfast. Each day was jammed packed with great trips to other islands led by incredibly knowledgeable guides. The staff is so friendly and they also make delicious cocktails. Then you finish off the day with one of the most spectacular meals you'll ever eat. I don't think I will ever forget some of those meals. Our big family rented out a decent portion of rooms at the safari camp and we really just had a fabulous time. This is the kind of place that you will never forget once you have been here. If I get the chance to come back I would in a heartbeat.

An absolute fairytale trip

This is a great spot to base a land tour of the Galapagos.  High end glamping.  Just be aware that you will be staying in a (large) one room tent, very comfortable but limited amenities.  Breakfast and dinner both excellent and very accommodating to special food needs.  There's a lot of walking to egt around the premises, steep uphill stairs for example from the tents to the main building.  The staff is very friendly and provides anything you need for your daily excursions.  They do make all of these arrangements, so be sure to ask questions and get full details on each day's activity.

Excellent glamping base for land-based tour

Our Galapagos Safari Camp (GSC) experience started with Diego and Nathaly who went over and above in planning and setting up our trip.  
Our family of 11 stayed at the GSC for 4 nights and everyone had a spectacular time.   It all started when we were greeted at the Baltra airport by a GSC naturalist (Carolina) who quickly shuffled us into the VIP waiting room while our luggage was unloaded.   From there we immediately started some site seeing, and where else, to an area with many giant tortoises which was amazing.  We also had lunch there and an opportunity to relax for a little while before heading off to the next site seeing location before arriving at the GSC.   
Upon arrival, we were greeted by Belen and George for the first 2 days and then spoiled by Juan and Stephanie, who each went over the top during our stay.   The luxury tent accommodations were likewise amazing.  We all spent some time in the pool on day 1 and then our first GSC dinner.   We can't say enough good things about the 5 star meals at the GSC, well maybe Perfect describes them best.  BTW - all meals are included.  The remainder of our stay included additional excursions with Carolina, including a stop at a local moonshine operation, bicycling, hiking, a trip to the beach, and finally a visit to Puerto Ayora and the Charles Darwin Center.   Everyone at the GSC made us feel special, which included all of those staff working either out front or behind the scenes to keeps things running smoothly. 


An Amazing Stay at the Galapagos Safari Camp on Santa Cruz Island!

I recently returned from a stay at the camp with my wife, 3 kids (4, 7, and 8 years old), and parents (70+), and everyone absolutely loved the experience. This was my kids’ favorite lodging and all the little details, such as the daily handmade stuffies of Galapagos animals and educational and inspirational notes, were such a nice touch. Additionally, the camp’s staff noticed my daughter’s birthday was very recent, and planned a surprise celebration for her all on their own. This is a great place for kids and equally great place for adults. The food was on par with the best food in Los Angeles (where we’re from), and all the people working there are absolutely wonderful. Even my parents, who have traveled the world several times over, were thoroughly impressed! We made such great memories on the Galapagos islands, and the Safari Camp certainly played a large part in that.  We felt very well taken care of as our days were organized and tailored for each person in the  group.  Every detail, from the kid-sized snorkel gear and snacks and towels at the beach to the ginger tea that stayed hot all day for the potentially rocky boat ride were executed with such compassion and care.  It is a located in a secluded area of the island with a small number of tents. The grounds boast sprawling trails right in the heart of the wildlife of the Galapagos.  A kind of hidden paradise that only the guests have access to.  My wife and I were comfortable with letting our children roam the grounds on their own, which is an opportunity that is rare in the urban tumult of L.A.  You could tell the people that work here are happy to do so and want to provide the best experience for their guests.

The moment you arrive, you can stop thinking :-). The staff will take care of everything. It's all well organized and they are so friendly.
Sleeping in a tent, listening to the sounds in the night, makes you feel so relaxed. We are so happy we chose this Safari Camp.
And the food...it was amazing. This chef really deserves a Michelin Star. 
Every evening, the meal was a present!

How do I put into words the magic of the Galapagos Safari Camp?  From the start of planning our trip to when we had to say goodbye and head home, the service and hospitality were beyond measure.  When booking the trip, instead of emailing back and forth, GSC reached out to me directly to schedule a call so I could better understand the dynamics of our trip and what to expect.  The communication was helpful, descriptive and put my mind at ease. I instantly knew that GSC would take care of all of the logistics so that my family and I could relax and enjoy the Galapagos.  The moment we arrived and walked up to the front door I knew we had made the right choice.  The wonderful staff greeted us by saying "Welcome Home," gave us cold towels and fresh juice. They allowed us to relax and hear about the amazing four-course dinner awaiting us, and the itinerary for the next day.  We were blown away by the amazing food!  We knew that the sights and sounds of the animals and nature would fill us with awe (and they did not disappoint), but we did not anticipate how delicious the food and wine would be.  Each dish was fresh with delightful local flavors, and you could taste love in each bite.  Our guide for our daily excursions, Pico Zambrano, was knowledgeable, excellent with kids (our kids are 6 and 9), and had a passion for the Galapagos that was palatable.  He was a huge value-add to our trip, ensuring that our kids were safe and comfortable on hikes and snorkel adventures. He really instilled his love of the Galapagos in each of us.  The tents at GSC add to the adventure of the trip, while not taking away from the luxury.  The beds are comfortable, showers are great,  you get to wake up each morning to the sound of birds chirping and a beautiful view of the island and ocean.  Each night GSC left a note or quote on our bed that challenged us to disconnect from our day-to-day lives (and devices) and embrace the wonder of the Galapagos.  This personal touch is another example of the heart & soul of GSC.  I could fill an entire book with delights from our trip, but I won't because you should go experience it yourself!  We love travelling as a family and have been all over the world, however this trip was truly exceptional in every way and left its mark on my heart.

Pure Magic - Best family trip with our 6 and 9 year old kids.

Incredible attention to detail and display of kindness.  Accommodations are streamlined (i.e. safari camp) but adequate with many meals and desserts comparable to those served at Michelin starred restaurants. Our very picky 10-yr old son was so impressed the first night (e.g. "best fish ever") he made an attempt to try almost all subsequent courses. I believe I had the "best dessert ever" (their fig and cheese) including a very thoughtful and a surprise birthday cake made by Chef Daisy for my husband's birthday.  Our swimsuits and rash guards were returned to us each morning for the day's activity washed and dried (along with hot ginger tea for those sensitive to sea sickness and snacks).  My husband and I caught a bug at different stages of the trip which slowed us down but Melina and the camp staff did a wonderful job of ensuring we were well taken care of.  Some days are more structured than others due to being part of larger tour groups but others are private and much more flexible.  Don't feel compelled to stick with each day's plan to the last detail (it's your trip). Our sincere gratitude to the team at GSC: Melina (our main coordinator)/Jorge and Juan/Natalie (our main guide)/Jaime (our driver each day)/Chefs Daniel and Daisy/and the rest of the staff who discreetly worked behind the scenes.  Wonderful place to be headquartered to experience the beautiful Galapagos Islands.  GSC was recommended to us by friends and we plan to share with our other friends.  Thank you!  The Dyer Family

We didn’t even know where to start but decided to google “luxury galapagos trips” and came across the Galapagos safari camp, when I reached out the team was quick to respond and started building a bucket list vacation for us.  We’ve traveled the world but never had anyone help build the type of vacation the team at GSC built for us.  Every singe detail was accounted for from airport transfers and guides to the amazingly curated meals to fit our dietary requirements.

Every day we were greeted with an amazing new adventure, and cared for by the entire staff as if we were the only people at the camp.

I cannot say enough good things about the entire team from the booking to the sweet and thoughtful notes left on our beds during the nightly turndown, to being greeted like family everywhere on site, from start to finish this was a first class experience.

A truly amazing bucket list vacation!!

From start to finish my stay with the safari camp was amazing! Our tour guide, Henry in Quito was top notch and so knowledgeable as were our tour guides in the Galapagos! The staff at the safari camp itself were so friendly and accommodating! Annabelle, Jorge and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect!  So many small special touches that made every moment extra special! The tents and the grounds were beautiful and the food was unbelievably delicious!  I highly recommend you stay here on your visit!
