Cintya and her mom, Guadalupe, were very welcoming! Our flight was delayed and I was so pleased to see a cab driver with a sign bearing my name at the airport. They also arranged transportation for us to visit some sites and for our return trip to the airport. 
Our dinners and breakfasts were delicious! Dinner options included Ecuadoran and Mexican food as well as some delicious salads. Breakfast included fruit juice, coffee, tea or hot chocolate, bread and eggs. We requested 2 gluten-free breakfasts. That just meant the bread was left off of our plates. My daughter was a bit hungry, but I was satisfied. 
The bedrooms and grounds are beautiful and a great respite from the noise of the city. We swam in the pool and warmed up in the hot tub one evening. The pools are filled with spring water. They are drained and cleaned once a week. Our only disappointment was that there were no horses available for us. Guadalupe's warm smile and loving energy almost made us forget about that.

Beautiful respite from the city

In April we spent two nights at this B&B and it was a horrible experience.  Upon arrival the hot tub was not hot, as we had been assured it would be.  Then we were promised it would be hot in the morning, but no.  Then they said wait two hours   We decided to go to the market and came back in the afternoon and it still was not hot.  When the owner checked into it, she found that one of the heaters was broken; for which we were blamed.  Apparently, this was our fault because it had been on all day and being on for so long was what caused it to wear out and break.  We did not bother to check it again because her mother told us she "had no idea when it would be fixed"; but when we checked-out in the morning, I made complaint about the hot tub (amoung other things) the owner told me it had been fixed last night "Why didn't you use it?  You could have."  Yeah, maybe if we had known - I asked why didn't anyone let us know?  She said it was not her responsibility to let us know - we should checked for ourserlves.  Other unpleasant issues: critters crawling around inside the walls at night (she said you have to expect this in the country); no hot water in the showers; overpriced food with small portions.  No discounts or appologies were offered.  We were disgusted.  The setting is nice, but the service, atitude, and facilities are terrible.  And the bill was exorbitant.

Extremely Poor Value

Great place to escape the loud city. It has a gorgeous view of a valley. It has lovely rooms and is an extremely secure location. I would recommend this place for couples from all over the world whowant a romantic place to relax and enjoy the culture and views of the wonderful city of Quito. The food at the hotel restaurant was fantastic and homemade. I am definately going to return one day!

It is a 40 min drive only from the new airport, quietly located with view into a valley. The family cooks dinner quite tasty. The hotel allowed us to leave the luggage there for our 5 day trip to Galapagos free of charge. This was very nice. The hosts were nice, but not very welcoming and did not care a lot about the guests (e.g. closed gate whenever we arrived taking us long to get into the hacienda - no apologies etc.). We had an electric breakdown the night, so no light for dinner, no warm shower even in the morning. Unfortunately the hotel still charged full price, no discount offered due to all the hassle we accepted. This was a bit disappointing.

Nice location between Quito & Airport

It is common for people from North America to fly into Quito late at night and then have to spend the night in the Quito area before catching an onward early flight to Cuenca, for example. 

Here is a much better idea - spend the day relaxing between your flights instead of rushing back to the airport to catch an early flight. It takes between 25 and 30 minutes to get to this B&B, which is really more of a resort style place. It has nice views, plenty of flowers and paths to explore, as well as places to just sit and relax. 

Settle in for the evening after you arrive, sleep in if you want, then enjoy the peace and get yourself ready for your next flight.
