Lovely hotel. Nice walkable distance to everywhere.

Great room.  Located just off the crowed tourist area which I loved.  Walkable to beach, lagoons, market, souvenir shops and dining.

The location was great. The best part about this was Carlos. He was so helpful. He arranged our tours for us. He was so accommodating and gave us WhatsApp so we could call him anytime we needed to for anything. He was so helpful.The place is good it’s central to everything. It’s so easy to get everywhere. There’s bike rentals across the street.

This is a beautiful, clean, upscale, hostel with coffee and refrigeration options. Quiet, air-conditioning, and nice surroundings within the property make it a high-end hostel. Bathrooms are tiled. Beautifully water is hot and rooms are spacious. If you arrive at a time when there’s no one at the desk, you can still use the area and it is possible the key to your room has been left in the door to your room. no one was available, but I knew what I had booked and I saw a key in a room door, I went in, set up, took a shower and locked up and went to the beach. An amazing value for what you get which is top-notch hostel.

Starfish was perfect for our family of 6. Super clean, tastefully simple and quiet. Carlos was a super host and surprised us with a complementary late check out on our last day as we were waiting to catch the ferry  AC and wifi worked well. Highly recommend Albita Grill restaurant that just opened Jan-01-2024.

This is a cozy small place, and the lady/manager is super friendly. Ms Rosita's English isn't very good, but she is super helpful and very sweet. The stay was very enjoyable!

Starfish Hostal is a brand new  boutique hotel  on Isabella Island.  It was build only a year ago, so everything is new  and clean : good beds, hot shower. The hotel is located near the center of the village only a few hundred meters from the beach. The owner was very helpful in selecting the cheapest excursions and even bought a water boiler so we could make our tea in the morning.  Starfish is a nice acomodation for your stay on Isabella island

Great place to stay when in Isabela.  Hotel is new. Rooms are very clean, bright and up-to-date. Air conditioner worked great and there was hot water in the shower.  Hotel was right in the middle of town. You dont have a sea view but that might be the only negative about this place.  Reasonably priced, free water on the lobby, clothes racks for hanging up wet clothes.  Even though the host does not speak English she was very gracious - getting up early to make sure we had a taxi to the pier on our last day.  Great restaurant next door - Las Palmeras.

Since the town is small this small hotel is easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, beach and port where the tour boats leave. The room was nice and clean. The WiFi worked most of the times. The bathroom was nice too but there were issues with the hot water (in our room it was too hot, our friends' room not hot). We had a superior room and our friends had the standard room. However, there was not much difference. The manager did not speak any English but he was very friendly and somehow we got our messages across. There is a water dispenser at the reception where you can refill your bottles for free. We did not have to buy any plastic bottles which I very much appreciated. The hotel has no restaurant but is somehow linked to the restaurant just across the road where you can get breakfast etc. It served as a perfect base to explore Isabela!

Great new hotel to stay at in Isabela

My wife and I stayed in star fish for 3 nights, the rooms are clean nice beds and bathroom and the woman owner who I’m sorry I’ve forgot her name is pro the nicest lady I’ve met in 2 months in Ecuador she is lovely honest & very caring. I would recommend this place for anyone visiting Isabella I only wish we had more time on this lovely island.

We stayed here for three nights in room number number one and found it to be very comfortable. Plenty of room and the shower was excellent. There is also a little couch outside the room to sit on to enjoy a nightcap. The owner was very gracious as he allowed us a late check-out because we were taking the late ferry. He also gave us four of the most delicious oranges I have ever tasted. We paid 60 USD.

Excellent modern new hotel

I loved this hotel. Supernice owner + new modern rooms + place looks way better than pictured + fantastic neighbourhood in Isabela (it's not on the main street, which is a blessing trust me. You can get to the mainstreet in a few minutes walking anyway -plus it's very safe- if you need to go to a tour agency or something. But I didn't really liked the vibe of the mainstreet, because it felt kinda like Gringo town. This hotel is just a few minutes away, but it feels much more authentic and it's like you're one of the locals) + across the street is the best bbq I ate in my life + the neighbour has a restaurant and she cooks well. So, I'm glad I went for this hotel, made my stay in Isabela much more better. Best hotel I stayed in in the Galapagos. Wish the owner lots of luck with his new hotel! Oh no wait, he can't speak English.. ah well.. (and I couldn't speak Spanish, but we managed to communicate all the basic important things. He was even so nice to walk us to a laundry lady when we arrived. You'll come a far way using basic words and hands and feet!)

Best hotel I had in Galapagos

Star Fish Hotel provides clean, safe, and standard eminites. The hotel manager was very attentive to our needs. The hotel was under  construction but it didn’t seem any interruption or noise. The restaurant next door was where we had our breakfast. The restaurant manager was super nice. She made an exception to cook breakfast earlier than schedule because we had our tour picked us up at 6. People on Isabella Island was super nice. I hope they are handling well with volcano eruption (Sierra Negra Volcano). It’s recommended to stay at this hotel.
