69 reviewsI have to say, when given directions of "look for the last hanging bridge" to get to the lodge...I knew we were in for an adventure. This truly was a magical destination. Cristof was probably one of the best hosts I've ever met. His lodge is personal...only two bungalows. We were fortunate to be the only ones for a night (two days one night is NOT enough). We had Cristof and Louis to ourselves. Cristof was full of knowledge about the area, knew all the locals, etc. not to mention was a fantastic cook. Our jungle tour with Louis was superb. He didn't speak English but my small amount of Spanish coupled with his small amount of English made our adventure perfect. He was absolutely wonderful. Even if you don't speak a bit of Spanish, I recommend Louis' tour...he'll tell you in Spanish but then give you something to read in English. Long story short...I can't imagine a better location and host for experiencing the jungle. However, if you're a city slicker and want the Ritz, this (or the Amazon in general) isn't for you. Thank you, Cristof & Louis. You made our experience unforgettable!!!!
