My girlfriend and I stayed the night. For $28 we got a beautiful room with en suite and balcony onto a gorgeous sea view. The balcony also had a hammock which was a great way to watch the sun set. Staff were also very friendly and let us leave bags all day for free. Would have loved to have stayed longer if we didn’t have a flight to catch

Beautiful room - friendly staff

This is certainly a great, maybe the best place to stay in Montañita. It is quite cheap and the room we were in, was just beautiful and superclean, including a balcony facing the ocean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Besides, there's a kitchen you can use and a small breakfast is included. Also, you can relax in the garden or common area which is very comfortable.

Best place to stay!

We stayed 2 nights here and were satisfied with everything. The first night our room had ants in the bathroom, but they weren't a nuisance, and when we asked for a different room the staff was very accommodating. We had absolutely no issues at all. The rooms are clean and most have an excellent view of the ocean. every balcony has a hammock, and the common area down stairs is comfortable to hang out in. We enjoyed our stay and again the staff was very helpful. All you need is a smile and good attitude, and everything works out fine. And for $10 per night we have no complaints.

Good for the price

This hostel was right on the main street but still rather quiet on the 5th floor. We had a nice ocean view. The rooms were nice and clean. The front desk staff was not the friendliest in Montanita. The kitchen was also often a bit dirty with lots of ants. The included breakfast was a pastry roll and instant coffee. We paid approximately $25 per private room per night.

Average hostel in central location with good views

A nice place with the layout and hammocks but staff were often unfriendly . breakfast "included" only consists of a roll if they even remember to put it out. 
Could maybe have more keys for the rooms with 4+ people. 

Only ok

Good hostel rooms Average, shower and private toilet and a balcony that comes out of the room. The hostel is located in the town center. On the one hand it is good because of the proximity to all the restaurants and bars but on the other side there is noise and loud music from the street until 4 am and again from 8 am. Although breakfast included in the price it's irrelevant (bread, butter and jam) Instead, you can have breakfast in one of the stalls outside the hostel at $ 3 for a omelette bread and avocado.
