Hotel El Taino De Sky

Why did I give this place 5 stars? Because it's cleaner and nicer than most if not all the other places in Montañita. When we got there we found out that the cheapest room (the one we reserved) they had at the time did not have hot water so they upgraded us for free. We got the room with the oceanfront on the top floor...(There was a huge tree with lots of branches blocking the view out the window) but just exit the room and there is a communal balcony with a perfect view (Good selfie spot). Keep in mind that at the time of visit (Mid September) they did not have an elevator so if you get one of the good rooms in the top floor prepare those thigh muscles!!! Wifi was occasionally dodgey to watch Netflix on the TV but it was good enough for Youtube on both our phones. Good cold AC. There was a small amount of sand on the sheets (They were clean sheets because I'm anal about that stuff) but thats expected from hotels/hostels near the beach. Pros: 1. Close to the parties and restaurants(about a 2 minute walk) but far enough away from all the noise to rest at night. Something other places lack. 2. Nice modern rooms and comfortable beds. Rooms are decently clean. 3. Very nice and accomadating staff. 4. Breakfast was simple but good. 5. They provided wristbands for the best local clubs to enter for free(Until a certain time). Cons: Stairs, stairs, and more stairs for top floor rooms.
