Clean, large rooms, $15 a night, good location. Very friendly staff. Breakfast is optional but to be quite honest Cafe Maya one street over is miles better. Wikitravel claims this hotel is 'from $12' but you may be quoted $20. Reception happy to settle for $15 which the nice, airy rooms are definitely worth. In this town you can get a room for $5-10 but probably without wifi, and probably grottier...you get what you pay for.

This is an older hotel with lots of rooms and a banquet facility. The rooms are not modern and updated but if you want to see a cool older hotel with lots of charm this hotel is for you. Great big wide staircases and hallways lead you to your room which is equipped with an older model tv with hundreds of Channels. The water pressure is great and the water gets super hot you just have to wait for it. 

Breakfast is huge and a combination of proteins and starches with fruit, fruit juice and coffee. And all at bargain basement prices.

This hotel has amazing character!

Hot water in the shower and clean sheets! These are the things that you have to keep reminding yourself of when you stay at Hotel Glamour. The funky smelling carpet, the incomplete wall between your room and the bathroom, the incomplete building, and the generally crumbling building can get you thinking negatively. 

We were some of the only guests there the entire time, which felt weird. However, Max the owner is very kind and helpful, and the breakfast was filling and delicious. His cat Blue and his dog Honey are very cute.

I probably wouldn't stay here again, but it was a very interesting old building and a humorous experience if you stay positive.

An exercise in positive thinking

I was let down by my Airbnb host (thanks again cow) so i needed to find an alternative place to stay at very short notice. I saw Glamour Hotel listed on the TripAdvisor site (rated 16 out of 17 so far from the best!) and i turned up  and got a room. Max (the owner) and John are very friendly helpful English speaking staff and what the hotel lacked in facilities (it really is dated and needs a lot of improvement!) they made up for in their helpfullness. There are some lovely features inside notably the central staircase feature. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked fine; there was no room key and when i asked for one i was told it was not necessary (!) - but not a problem as it turned out!. Breakfast was included and was ok, and $20 was a tolerable rate to pay under the circumstances of why i had to stay there. Thanks!!.

MODERN EXTERIOR CONCEALS OLD HISTORIC INTERIOR - NEEDS A LOT OF TLC!!

We thought it would be a much better place than the other one in which there wasnt hot water the 24hrs. Here, there werent any dressers... it was a 4/10. The shower was clogged up and the receptionists left at 10pm so there was no one to complain to. There is also a funky smell everywhere due to lack of maintenance and there was only one receptionists/keeper on duty. She was nice and did her best but the hotel definitely needs improvement.
