I am very grateful for the hospitality service provided by Hostería La Andaluza via Riobamba, Ecuador. They were able to resolve some issues I had before my arrival, and I am especially recognizing the efficiency of their receptionist, Oscar, who helped ensure everything went smoothly with the veterinarians, the service, and the infrastructure. The food was excellent. We had a wonderful time celebrating my husband's birthday.

This hotel is truly a unique place. The accommodations are beautiful and luxurious but what makes it stand out are all the collections gathered by the former owner. He had great taste, many interests and the place is truly a feast for the eyes. It seems there is a collection of everything you can think of: Catholic art, art from India, musical instruments, stoves, cash registers, etc. It's fascinating to just walk around the hotel and explore.  The grounds are beautiful too and there are bunnies on the property! You also get a spectacular view of Chimborazo from the hotel. Additionally, the hotel includes a fantastic spa. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished. A great place for a restful retreat or to celebrate a special occasion.

This hosteria cum museum was one of the real surprises on our two week road trip around Ecuador. It doesn't get more authentic colonial than this. Spacious rooms with complete amenities and bathroom. Very good service and fine dining in the elegant restaurant. Hearty buffet breakfast in the spacious room adjacent. We had a two night stay and were delighted with the whole atmosphere and service. The hosteria is also a museum, so there is a complimentary tour of the museum which is well worth taking. The historic collection of Ecuadorian art and artefacts by the owner is quite amazing.

A spectacular place, where we would have loved to stay longer. Online photos don’t really showcase how great it is. Super gourmet local  food. The spa and its treatments were mind blowing! Everyone was really nice. Get a tour of the place first thing. It is a true museum, filled with antiques and lots of history. Even Simon Bolivar was there. It is even pet-friendly. A gem to be discovered up in the Andes.

A very beautiful place, I loved every detail, the antiques and the stories, everyone's wonderful attention, especially Katy Freire who was a wonderful guide and host, the SPA was so relaxing and clean, thank you for giving us an unforgettable experience

Our family had a great experience at La Andaluza! We got an upgrade to a suite, enjoyed amazing local food, a unique art & historic tour, and received an incredible hospitality from all the staff. Special thanks to Oscar for his superb attention to all our needs and his profesional management of this spectacular hotel. We look forward to visit the spa on our next trip to La Andaluza. 

The view of the Chimborazo was amazing right when reaching the hotel as well as the Front Desk staff hospitality. They were keen to accommodate our needs and gave us precise information of the activities we could do. They have coca leave tea for altitude sickness as prevention if you are thinking of visiting the Chimborazo National Park. Beautiful property with a lot of history and interesting options in their Spa menu.

A place special, luxurious y comfortable, delicious food, appropriate accommodation, the incredible event room, is to go to past, with a pleasant memory.     We were in a wedding and everything was spectacular. I recommend knowing him. Greats

Never stayed anywhere like this , totally unique one of the best hotels we ever visited.
A cross between a vintage hotel and museum , very hard to describe.I’ll try.
Beautifully furnished throughout, with vintage furniture and numerous fresh flowers . Each room downstairs is a delight and surprise.
We did the hotel tour seeing the Simon De Bolívar suite and the stunning spa.
Our room was spacious and well equipped, even with tongs as well as hairdryer , everything worked only thing lacking was a full length mirror.
Views of rabbits , sheep and Guinea pigs from window .
Massive tv with English language channels.
Huge comfy bed initially covered in rose petals to welcome us.
Atmospheric bar , lovely restaurant where we ate a gorgeous mixed grill ( volcano roar ) a starter , crepe suzette and 2 cocktails each for 60 dollars.

Had a great one night stay. Would have preferred longer. It was very welcoming. Great service. Excellent dinner and a good buffet breakfast. Good fast wifi. Great views. It had so many interesting odd antiques they will actually give you a short tour. This hotel has a spa but I didn’t use it.

Amazing stay at La Andaluza!

Amazing view of the  Chimborazo

Simply stunning

We were days before in Samari in Baños and we were very happy, the hotel was perfect, but what was our surprise when we arrived at La Andaluza and we found a museum.  The hotel is splendid, we had only one night there and it was not enough to walk around and look around the hotel, but what we could see and enjoy was great.  The wellness area is very nice, luxuriously decorated, and with a first class service.  Our tour operator forgot to make the reservation including the wellness area, and we had to pay for it separately, but it didn't really matter, since the service was first class.  We also had a bonfire prepared for us at night and a small table for snacking and roasting marshmellows, which was very good for my son, while he was playing with the bunnies that live in the garden.  The breakfast, in the same Samari style, tasty, well served, and sufficient.  May we come back soon to Riobamba, we will gladly repeat. 10/10

Wonderful Hotel

An incredible stay with delicious food! The room was so very charming as it had a working fireplace and a thermostat to keep you warm. The wildlife in the garden were cute and a fun addition. The staff were so friendly, spoke English and were always willing to help. Fernando gave us the "historic tour" of the home and then some and it was so informative! Highly recommend this place! The volcanic meals are to die for!

Beautiful history with amazing hospitality

Stayed here with my family last weekend (girls 12 and 9). We had an amazing time. Service was wonderful. My girls loved all the bunnies they had. My husband was concerned with it being right off the side of the main road, but it was very peaceful and quiet. Food was wonderful. We enjoyed the wet spa area as a family (sauna, turco, hot tub and cold plunge) and the meditation room. I was able to to the Turkish spa and had such a wonderful experience that I made my husband go do it too. We did the tour just before leaving and it was with it to learn a little history about the place. If you’re staying anywhere near Riobamba, you should definitely check out this hotel! Can’t want to go back.
