A very nice hotel with perfect location, almost in the centre of Guayaquil. Excellent rooms, very clean bathrooms. Breakfast pretty basic, but tasty anyway.We had no problems and the staff was really very kind.

We stayed here a couple of nights before going to the Galapagos. The reception staff were all very nice and efficient and agreed to charge half the room rate when we turned up at 4 am when the bus from Celica arrived! I think this was very reasonable. We were given a quiet room away from the street and it was large with a comfortable bed and nice clean bathroom. We also liked the good buffet breakfast and we even had dinner in the hotel which turned out to be very tasty and there are nice cocktails and happy hour too. Tthe location is perfect just a few blocks from the Malecon 2000 and the Parque Bolivar if you want to check out the land iguanas. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend to anyone who like to see the main sights of Guayaquil.

We stayed here twice.  The front desk is very friendly and extremely helpful, especially in helping us get our bag that the airlines sent to Brazil.  The rooms are spacious, modern, and clean with comfortable beds.  Internet access is fantastic, showers wonderful.  The laundry service was great.  Right across the street is a small laundry that is also very good if you want to save some money.  It is also centrally located.
They are very helpful in getting taxis and setting them off in the right direction.

As an example of the great service, we got stuck in a huge tropical downpour at night near the pedestrian walkway across the river.  The streets were flooded and the taxis stopped running.  We called the hotel and the sent one of their managers out to pick us up!!!!

The breakfasts are very good with lots of options that change daily.  My only complaint is that if you are not an early bird, all the tables have been used and you have to clean them and get your own flatware and cups, even though there is a breakfast attendant there.

We were generally happy with the stay here. I'd rate it 3.5 if I could -- between average and very good. 

The good or great: 
*The room was clean, spacious enough, and the bed was comfortable. 
*The staff was great, including a very helpful (and in English) description of nice places to visit when we inquired, with a map. 
*The breakfast offerings were pretty extensive and the hours were pretty broad (from 7am to 10am), though some things ran out by 9:30 and weren't replaced. 
*We had no problems with water temperature (though it takes a minute to heat up).
*The TV worked fine for us had extensive channels available. 
*It seemed secure to us, including with an in-room safe and controls on the elevator to ensure folks were guests.
*The location was pretty good, in walking distance from a number of restaurants and the Malecon.
*We didn't have issues with the wifi.

The not so good: 
*I had some trouble sleeping due to street noise. Perhaps a room not on the main street would have been better. 
*There was no coffee/tea access outside of breakfast hours (such as in-room pot of in-lobby).
*There was no general water cooler to refill water with, instead there were two water bottles in-room. (In a country where it's not safe to drink the water, having an accessible water cooler seems essential to me.)
*They called cabs (or rather private drivers that weren't official taxis) for us that arrived quickly. The drivers were reliable and good.

The questionable: 
*Our reservation via Booking.com was $103.68 for two nights. We asked to extend it for one night and were told we'd be paying the same rate. However, our total bill was $194.23. (It would've been $155.52 if the $103 rate was all-inclusive and we were charged the same for each night.) Because our flight was changed to crazy early, I didn't have time to parse through the apparent discrepancy with them. Maybe Booking.com didn't include taxes (?). I still haven't figured it out, and will update this if I do.

A good place to stay in Guayaquil

Great hotel in central downtown 

Lovely Clean Rooms, Great Friendly Service

GREAT LOCATION

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel located not far from the center of town. The room we had was quite small and the bathroom was not spacious ( no shelves, no tissue paper...). To me this is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The breakfast buffet is very average too and service was slow.
