Casa Amarilla

This yellow villa is sitting right on the beach, with palm trees just in front of you. We rent the room on the first floor with seaview. The room was large and clean, bathroom big but in fact it was not just the room which we had rent, no, we more or less had the whole upper (first) floor of the villa which included a huge open-roof terrace as well as a covered shaded sitting area. If you just want to be lazy and enjoy the ocean breeze, then this is for you. The villa is at the end of Puerto Cayo beach, it's a nice 30 min walk along the beach to town with its small eateries on the beach, all selling the freshest fish and seafood at low fares. If you don't feel like walking, grab one of the mototaxis plying the streets, it's one USD (for two people) from town to the villa. Villa Casa Amarilla is run by a very nice young couple (in fact Diego has cared for the house during the past seven years already) who really love the place - and they manage to give a very warm and welcoming spirit to the place, you can feel that this place is being cared for. In the same way, Diego and Patricia care for their guests. You can get breakfast at a small fee, but what a breakfast! Different every day, if you wish. Also, you can order dinner if you want to eat at home - Patricia used to work as a cook...and there are always small fresh flowers on your table which Diego has cut off the colourful bougainvillea, it's all these little details which make this place special.
