Pacheco Farmhouse

Cute little cabins above the Intag River. I loved getting lulled to sleep with the sound of the river. The breakfast was delicious--maybe the best I've had in Ecuador, with fresh juice (real fruit and no added sugar), plus homemade bread, omelette, greens, baked tomato and more! And that was just the first day! The next day featured pancakes topped with fruit. For a bed and breakfast, the value is amazing, and the family that prepares and serves the meals are very sweet and accommodating. We opted for dinner and again, the meals were outstanding. Wifi in the dining room and on the outside porch was more than adequate. Location is fantastic. We hiked to a nearby waterfall on the far side of the Intag River and enjoyed the Nangulvi Hot Springs, just a 15-minute walk from Pacheco. Other activities in the area we pursued: a trip up to Guliman, an archeological site atop a ridge, a hike to El Placer waterfalls from Santa Rosa, and a hike to the waterfalls (and plunge) Cascada de La Plata.
