We had chosen this hostel because of the good reviews on the net, bad weather!!!, yet the rooms are nice, the efficient hospitality and cleanliness is put in this place. The main bemoan is that most rooms with large unsounded glass bays give off on the streets and the bus station (dense traffic), a lot of noise, more at the beginning of the weekend for our part, a lot of young Ecuadorians in the rooms on all floors (whispering doors, music in the background, talk halls in the endless corridors) despite our demand and suppression of the part of the manager to do nothing, a good part of the lasting terrace.

difficult experience

We arrived very late and (although we already had a reservation elsewhere) decided on a safety issue (people drunk and somewhat violent for the carnival) to stay in the hostel.The place is clean.We charged the room $15 per person, although we were not provided with breakfast.The room is comfortable.

A hostel with a good location

Visiting him with my partner for one night after a quick booking by Booking.com seemed to me a very pleasant, very clean and very well cared for environment.We thought we would stay just one night, but here Valeria (the hostel owner) offers you all the information on all the activities you can do.

Excellent Attention to all

Good location, hot water and the lady in the downstairs Tour agency is really helpfull. However the rooms are noisy and leaky when it rains and the breakfast a disappointment. They have a nice picture of the included breakfast in the reception with eggs, juice and all, (also the one here one TripAdvisor) but when we had breakfast we were only given bread and coffee the first morning. When we asked about the eggs she charged us extra. I suspect that money went directly in her pocket, because the next morning it was a different lady and she gave us everything without extra charges. 

Positives and negatives 

Excellent location just next to the bus station, but still walking distance everywhere in town. 
Absolutely amazing shower, any temperature you want and excellent pressure. 
Great staff, always clean, good price and small kitchen for cooking. We stayed a week and basically had the kitchen to ourselves.
And beautiful views from the window and from the upstairs terrace where free breakfast is served. 
If I'd go back, this is where I would stay.

It is located 50 meters from the bus terminal, so, as the bathrooms are a small place, it is ideal for getting off the bus and not carrying luggage.The room was fine, although with a little more humidity in the bathroom.They offer breakfast, quite basic and barely enough.

Usually for any extended stay we try to avoid staying near the bus station as it tends to be a rougher area of town.  In banos this is not the case as it is close to the nightlife, restaurants, and tours  and it is great upon arrival just to cross the street and dump your bags at a place that feels like home.  This homey vibe is what makes Las Rocas great.  With a large breakfast on a picturesque terrace to an accommodating owner who is nice with early check ins, organizing activities and storing bags, Las Rocas  makes you feel like a valued guest.
Pros:  Location, cleanliness, safe, breakfast, accommodating owners.
Cons: Steep narrow stairway to carry bags.  Huge floor to ceiling glass windows in bathrooms offer great views.

Great location... they make you feel welcome.

Great for trying to save money. Ten dollars a night with breakfast included. Breakfast is not completely filling but it includes bread, eggs, coffee and fresh juice. Hot water and awesome shower for a hostel. William is the man. He will answer any questions you have or anything you need. He knows a bit of English. He set us up with deals and discounts for local attractions. He went out of his way to pick us up from the bus terminal late at night. At our service 24/7! He is the bomb.com

We went out with friends and everything was very good, the service, the cleaning, the attention was the best thing that made us feel at home, they gave us information on where to go and helped you in everything according to your needs, everything was great, I have no complaints, I will definitely come back, a great experience.

Chevere is the best place to go.

The hostel is just across the street from the bus terminal. The centre is only a few minutes' walk away. The rooms are small but fine, the beds are comfortable. However, we had to ask (with a stay of 4 nights) for new stationery and fresh towels. We can't figure out the particularly good breakfast that will be advertised on booking.com. For us it was one of the worst included breakfast in Ecuador.
