Please don’t use this place. Now they make you pay upfront even.  I’ve been a customer since 2018. First of all they don’t pick the phone.

Why couldn’t they look and  find my history and see I was a returning customer? And just let me go to the room to rest and pay in the morning like all hotels?
This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at this hotel this year, and it’ll be my last one.

 I came for business at the  End of March, May and now.

The strong smell of a gas leak in the Lobby not only will give you a terrible headache and nausea, it’s an explosion waiting to happen…poor guys who work in the front has to work under such conditions.

My flight got delay, I came to the hotel at 4:00 am.
They  making me pay upfront.  An hour later It’s now  5:00 am 

Their outdated payment machines are broken so they are making use other cards .  Still not working… making  me wait at 5:am 

After 17 hours of  traveling, waiting in the lobby with toxic fumes, I feel fainting …horrible experience..

If you are foreigner, you shouldn't stay here. Work culture is insane. You asked to change the room as it was so noisy, staff would lie to your face that there was no room left ( hence they offered multiple types of room when you arrived 20 mins ago) 

Things got worst and worst toward the morning. They are unprofessional and would be nothing but make your stay unpleasant. 

It doest worth the money. If you have other choice, better stay in Verde Bonavita. They are the best and nice staff.

Stay away! Worst staff, noisy room and they are all incompetent.

I needed to go to Stgo for biz reasons, and found I just couldn't do the bus trip the same day.  There's another hotel I like, but more $$ and outside of city center.  So I just googled a hotel close to the place I was doing biz  and Los Jardines came up. 
 Los Jardines was perfect.  It's not fancy, not elegant.  But it is clean, secure, and centrally located.  

The staff are FABU!.  Generous, kind, and helpful.  The room was clean and well-appointed.  The shower was GREAT!  I'm from the US, so hot water is a big deal for me. 
 It took a bit to heat up, but, OH YEA.  Nice towels.  The bath gel is lovely.  I did not find the bed comfortable.   Would have liked more pillows.  I don't have TV in my home, so I really enjoyed watching Red Sox baseball on the TV.  

The restaurant has ZERO ambiance, but the food is surprisingly good.  The service is ....very Dominican. But I have to say:  the dessert menu is to die.  And I am not a dessert eater.  But I did!    

I met another guest at check-out who told me he & his family have been staying there for 18 years.  I will definitely stay again.  (I may bring my own pillows.)

 Breakfast is included.  I was not impressed by the bkfst offerings, but the coffee is excellent and plentiful.

Needed Emergency Accommodations

Small ,pleasant hotel in good location. Pleasant staff,very helpfull.
Doors of the room are very thin;you can hear every sound from other rooms
and hall. Rooms are on the small side,but clean.
Restaurant serves simple,but good ala carte breakfast,closed for lunch,open for dinner. The food is average or below. There are many restaurants in the area,of all kinds,many good options.Very safe neighborhood.

Good midrange hotel

This is a a great place, very clean most staff are very friendly. Breakfast is another story. They only serve eggs and pancakes. We had a lengthy stay. My mashed potatoes had a nasty hair. I stayed previously and the same issue with the hair. 

Watch out for hair 

This is my second time in Santiago De Los Caballeros, DR and first time staying at Hotel Los Jardines. I must say it reminds me of the Chateau & Relaise Small Hotels of the World. 
The room is quaint but beautifully decorated with a flat screen tv a mini fridge and very nice, clean & updated bathroom. I was a bit apprehensive about booking this hotel at first because its high season currently in DR for tourism and I got a great deal of only $60 for this surprisingly clean, beautiful & comfortable room!! And to top it off...guests are served with free breakfast for staying at hotel! The lobby is small but clean & modern. And the staff are all very friendly and professional!! I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking a budget type because you definitely will not be disappointed!! Only reason I gave it only 4 stars instead of 5....is because I would have liked my room to be a tad bit bigger and lesson the outside traffic noise. But for the price and quality is exceptional!!

A quaint little hotel with a lot of charm:

The staff was outstanding. They were so friendly, greeting us like family every time we came & left and very helpful arranging for taxis, getting directions, recommending places to eat and generally making sure we had anything we needed. Someone at the desk always spoke English so we didn't struggle with our minimal Spanish.

The bathrooms are modern with roomy showers, rooms vary in size with comfortable, firm beds (we stayed in 2 different rooms during the week.) Very clean.

The location was pretty close to the major bus stations, so convenient as our base for traveling around this part of the country.

Wonderful staff

I felt like I was at home, I would recommend this hotel to my Grandparents, and I love them dearly, the Staff went above and beyond their duty and made my 10 days wonderful. And the location is in the heart of Santiago, I was close to everything that I could dream of, like Barber shops super markets all types of restaurants, live music, fast food, casinos and lots more.

BEST STAFF EVER

I stayed at this hotel while visiting Santiago for business for one night only.
The rooms are small and very basic, mostly motel style rather than big hotel chain or boutique hotel type. The decoration is kind of retro and installations look old. The service was good. 
Prices are moderate and a standard breakfast is included. 
If you are looking for a budget basic hotel for a short stay in Santiago with no luxury this is an option to be considered.
