We spent 3 days at Ophelia Cottage and it was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay here, surrounded by nature. The place is exactly as it appears in the pictures. Our host Ophelia was amazing! Thanks a lot! Highly recommended.

This is a wonderful, little hotel on the way up the mountain.  There aren’t any restaurants within walking distance, but the units have handy kitchenettes.  There’s a waterfall and hot springs nearby.  The owners were super friendly and helpful :-)

Great location, great service . Fresh air every day. Rains at nights.Owners are down to earth and easy to get along with.What a lovely crew. Nature at its best.

This is a great place to stay. The owners are fantastic, and the service is outstanding. The room i stayed in had all the amenities that i needed. The location is close to town and is a great place for an early morning walk. Also if you like to put some clean air in your lungs this is your place!!!   

Ophelia and her husband Mark were wonderful. The apartment was lovely: clean, spacious, cool, had good hot water, and was perched atop a hill overlooking the mountains and valley below. A short drive to downtown Roseau, and a great value for the price. Would highly recommend!

We stayed at Chez Ophelia for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The check in was fast and easy and we didn't have to wait for the host or search for him/her as in the other guesthouses. Ophelia (the owner) is there most of the time as she lives right there. She was very friendly and helpful, gave us plenty of recommendations for local restaurants and was very nice to talk to. 

Each cottage is divided in two apartments, ours was a one bedroom with a small, but fully equipped kitchen. The apartment was clean, decent size and could fit another couple. 

We were primarily interested in hiking and it was a perfect location for venturing into Boiling lake hike, exploring Trafalgar and Middleham falls.

Would highly recommend Chez Ophelia to anyone who likes a quiet and peaceful stay in a lush landscape.

We had an amazing stay at Chez Ophelia Cottage Apartments. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. Beds were very comfortable as well. We especially appreciated the location of the place. It is right in the center of Dominica, very close to all hikes including Boiling Lake. We highly recommend the place! Worth every dollar!

my favorite place to go in Dominica.. great people. lovely environment. they make you feel at home.. the staff are amazing.. and.... it is a special place.. and you feel special when you are at Chez Ophelia.. will surely return soon. 

I liked the tranquillity of the area. the garden of Eden with fruits and some medical herbs is well kept.. the rooms are clean and perfect... could not have asked for a better vacation...

This place is pretty nice for what it is, which is a pretty basic set of cottages. We had a small, no-frills kitchen. Everything worked and was clean. the owners clearly care about the place -- it was recently painted and had new curtains. But if you're coming from the US, just remember that in the end you get what you pay for -- it's pretty basic. The people were very nice and helpful, and for what it is, I was happy overall.

The cottage was the perfect size for me and my sister. The walls are a bit thin so if you are a very light sleeper, bring headphones for the natural habitat surrounding the cottages (insects, birds, rain, etc.) gets noisy. The location is a bit remote if you are taking public transport, but if you have car, it is close to many of the sights. Ophelia and her husband were lovely and helped us get situated with a taxi to tour us around the island.

best place ever

I have been there two times already, and i am not dissapointed, the swhole staff is amazing (Désir and mary you are not forgotten) welcoming, calm, nice always provides good advices, check you to know if you need something. Ophelia and Mark are very welcoming.
Each bungalow has its own "balcony" where you can just seat to eat or appreciate the view. very spacious room everything with everything you will need to cook. The garden is well maintained. Copt Hall is close to the town (Roseau)but not too close it's a quiet place near the falls and sulfur springs. the weather is not to warm or cold enjoy my stay enjoy Dominica in family or solo traveler.
