When we arrived here (which is at least a decade back, but I couldn't change the 'month visited' option) the first thing we noticed was how cute the cottages are! They are small but practical and spatial enough for a family of four people. It looks adorable and we were very satisfied. 
When we got inside, we noticed that it was unclean. I think the cottage hadn't been cleaned at all, to be honest, because I'm quite sure that the half eaten lollypop in one of the bowls in the closet should have been noticed, had that been the case. However, it was our holiday, and we didn't want to complain, so we cleaned the lot ourselves. Since it's a small cottage, this wasn't really a lot of work. And because the rest of the campsite was great, it didn't ruin anything for us.

The environment is beautiful, the breakfasts served at the restaurant/lobby/hybrid was great (I fondly remember fresh baked carrot bread!!!), and the cottages are lovely! There are also a lot of things to do for the kids (playground and swimming lake). Yes, it needs a bit of a clean-up, but if you're willing to see through that I can guarantee it'll be worth it. 

Unclean, but very cosy!

We spend two nights in one of the larger cottages while visiting Legoland in Billund. 

The camping site is pretty large area wise, but there where almost no one else there but us. There are a few playgrounds but the standard is pretty low. The nature around the lake is beautiful for walking and running, but I must say my children didn't appreciate it as much as I did. 

The cottage was unclean (stains, dust, crumbles) and the bathroom smelled really bad. It had six beds but the one located high up in the ceiling is not suitable for adults and I wouldn't let my children sleep 2,5 meters up.

I would say this is an ok place as sleeping accommodation for a couple of nights but I wouldn't stay there for the camping. 



Ok but low standard

I would definitely not recommend the place if you are looking to stay in the cottages. 

Not clean, very small, fungus in the bathroom. 

Leaking roof and ample warm water for showering. 

All and all I suggest to find something closet to legoland if you want to go there. Also the lake is not on the premises, but across the street. 

Short stop for legoland

Booked cottage for three nights for four adults. Very disappointed when we arrived at the cottage - very small, no toilet or bathroom. The pictures I saw on the Internet were not what we were given. Two bunk beds which were extremely small, one under a sloping roof, (think child size) and totally unsuitable for my 6ft - 15 stone husband to sleep on. Very thin mattresses, one of which was soiled. Had to pay extra for four bags of linen for the beds. ( I'm pretty sure electric was on a meter, but as we left quickly I'm not 100 percent sure) Within 10 mins of arrival I had gone on the Internet (not free) and managed to book a hotel for three nights, half hour away. We left hurriedly, very very upset and disappointed. This 'cottage' in my opinion was not fit for four adults to sleep comfortably in any way. 

Not impressed

The houses are very small and the bunk beds lack a ladder to get up top making it hard to get my kids up top. The other beds all up top and in a convertible couch where ver uncomfortable making our nights rest all but good. They stay actually made us longing for home.
