Lisa Guesthouse

There is so much to love about Lisa's place:
Conveniently located near the airport; 
Bonus supermarket which opens from 9am till 10pm is right beside the guesthouse; 
Free use of the kitchen which was very well equipped; 
Beautiful hiking trail in Midvagur to the edge of a lake which begins near Lisa's place; and 
Best of all, Lisa's hospitality. 
Do note that linens and cleaning fee are not included in the daily rate though! Nonetheless, still a perfect and cosy stay away from home. 

On a bus route between Thorshavn and Airport, good wifi , nice public areas, spotlessly clean. Pizza place next door as well as supermarket. Room was small with no view and you pay for bedding but price is the best in the Faroes.

Cosy homestay

Convenient for airport

I only spent one evening here, but found hostess Lisa very accommodating.  There are some conditions here you have to bear in mind, because it is a guesthouse and not a hotel - like paying extra for linen and arranging it in advance, but I found Lisa was an excellent hostess.  I really enjoyed practicing my Danish with her after 20 years of not using it, and any problem I might have that she couldn't solve, she would find someone in the community who could help.  My room was quite simple - but as I was only staying one night and then moving on, it was perfectly comfortable.  The price was very affordable.

Good place to stay - affordable and convenient

I booked one night there, easy to find, room large and clean. Had to pay cash, this I did not know. Had to pay for bed linen, did not know about this. They dont have transport or a shuttle to the airport as implied on booking.com had to pay for a taxi from Torshavn to take us to the airport. The stay ended up costing 2,5 x more than expected.

Watch out for the extras

I had to pay for bed linen and cleaning. It was not agreed beforehand. 
I can not recommend this place. It's clean and ok but I would choose another place. Nice view and host is friendly. 
And an alarm started in the middle of the night. ..................
