The several dinners we had were all just delicious and full of phantasy! We were in paradise!
We were there several times - last time three years ago, but on your list belowe I cannot find it.
The most beautiful hotel I ever was - wonderful landscape, nice owners and this outstanding marvellous buildings!

I had my wedding here with my family this April. Tina and her husband worked very hard to make sure I had a fantastic day. The hotel is very charming and the surroundings beautiful. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and the portions were filling
 Even our vegetarian and vegan guests were delighted with their meal! Would recommend Ballebro faegekro, and would like to return sometime to enjoy this place again. Thank you for hosting my wedding!

Beautiful area, fantastic, helpful owners

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend to attend a wedding at the same venue.
Our suite was absolutely gorgeous. 
(Nr 25).
With antique furniture, a beautiful canopied bed and a big bathroom with bathtub and shower. 
Absolutely amazing food in the restaurant. We ate a 3 meal course the day before the wedding and it was delicios. The dinner at the wedding where also spot on.
The hotel and restaurant is nicely located by the sea. The staff is very efficient, polite, and always with a smile.

Very cozy Kro, nice and clean room and superb food. Tina and Philip are going out of their way to make your stay as perfect as possible.
For breakfast there was freshly baked bread and a good selection of food.

Perfect getaway

Wonderful is a description that does not do this Kro justice! Ballebro Færgekro is a beautiful Danish Kro, with 2 buildings set on the waters edge of the Ams Fjord in SE Jutland, and just by the small car ferry that plies its trade every half an hour across to Hardeshoj.

We had friendly welcome from Tina (one of the owners) who came out to our car as we parked and greeted us in perfect English (OK the GB on the numberplate may have been a clue)

Sitting out on sun loungers drinking coffee just watching the little car ferry do its thing, was a great way to spend an afternoon after a long drive.

We had a room (3) with a great Fjord view which was situated in the ‘main house’ a lovely old thatched building. With a short stroll across to the Restaurant and Bar . Everything was very tastefully decorated, in a very lovely traditional Scandinavian style.
In fact the whole hotel looked very light & clean, could it have been recently redecorated? If so we congratulated their taste.

It did not matter to us but is worth a mention, that there was no TV in the room, I do not know whether this is standard to all the rooms

The dining room is lovely with white beams and windows giving a great view the fjord, with the doors open in the morning for breakfast you could see and hear the calls of the variety of birds on the water.

The Set Evening meal (included in our package) was delicious, especially fresh homemade bread and the Tempting Trio of Desserts.
 
With the sun sparkling off the Fjord we were served a full Scandinavian breakfast. We were a little concerned when we saw no spread of platters, baskets of bread rolls and naughty Danish pastries when we came in to the room.  Why did we worry we had our feast individually served with many plates of yummy delights.  We did not ask, but wondered whether this was because my wife and I were two of the only three midweek guests that morning, things maybe different at other times.

We were advised by Tina that there was more availability of rooms midweek as they were 
busy most weekends because of weddings and family celebrations, who would not want such a setting in their wedding album?

Overall, the best hotel we stayed in all holiday and we will happily stay here again.

Idyllic location

If you want a romantic weekend or a business meeting in picturesque surroundings look no further. The hotel is renovated with great attention to old architectural traditions - and just few meters from the hotel you have a beach for long walks or a run.

The service: I have never felt as much at home outside my home as here....at least in Denmark where hotels have become too much of a business. Tine and Peter (the couple that runs the hotel) have a unique ability to make you feel as if you were a personal guest. 

This is definitely not my last visit, and I can absolutely recommend it.
