If you want to lower your pulse and blood pressure - Sandkaas Badehotel is the right place. The hotel is rather small, but the atmosphere is relaxing and cozy.

The owners (Josephine and Christian) make you feel like you are home(also what the sign says at the entrance). They do a lot to make their guests feel good.

The rooms are newly renovated in a classic bath hotel style, and very clean.

Top of the day(in my opinion) is the breakfast. Every day Christian makes homemade breakfast buns which are super delicious. All breakfast products are of highly good quality.

Sitting on the terrace and enjoying breakfast at the same time with a view over the Baltic Sea is so fantastic.

We had an absolutely lovely 3 night stay. The hosts are so kind and hospitable, breakfast is excellent, honesty bar was a nice surprise. Amazing beach just right across the street, already considering coming back.Thank you so much!

We stayed at this lovely seaside hotel for a weekend. Our rooms were comfortable and clean--and we loved falling asleep to the sound of waves at night. The hotel is right across the street from lovely sandy beaches and a nice walking path. We were also a short drive from nearby restaurants and shopping. One night we brought pizzas back to our room and enjoyed playing cards in the common room while making cocktails from the honesty bar. What a lovely night! 

The breakfast is so delicious. Fresh-made buns and special cheeses being the highlight--and a view of the sea. We visited in April so we spent our time indoors, but there were many beautiful outdoor spaces too. 

It's a beautiful property, small and intimate. Absolutely relaxing!

A great holiday and break. Basic rooms, but they make the most out of everything. Location is super; walk to harbour area; restaurants and bars. Close to beach and beach cafe. Wonderful breakfast. WIFI worked surprisingly well.

Great location with the must beautiful view to the sea from the room and terrace. Would look forward to go back when Covid-19 is over to get the full experience of the hotel and surroundings.

Amazing hosts - Christian and Josephine!! The property is very charming - right by the water and easy to get around on the island from..especially if you have a car. We would definitely come back to this place when we are back in Bornholm

My wife and I stayed here one night in September, and we had a fantastic time!
Our room was clean and spatious, and Sandkaas Badehotel is full of small cosy nooks where you can relax.
We loved their honesty bar concept - good prices too!
The hosts are super friendly and really make you feel at home!
The best part though was the awesome breakfast buffet - hands down the best scrambled eggs we’ve ever had!
We’d come back in a heartbeat.

Wonderful in October
We travelled here in off season and loved this hotel and beaches because there was few souls wandering around! The hosts are a young couple who keep a clean  type hotel atmosphere and will help you with walks, catching the bus, or having a warm fire for you in the evenings. My Only suggestion if any would be some healthy choices in the Honesty bar for snacks like fruit,etc

Josephine & Christian make you feel at home right from the beginning. Beautifully located, nice rooms and interiors where you can relax in the sofa, delicious home-made breakfast, a warm atmosphere. Located close to the beach.

Beautiful Classic Charm

Amazing place with awesome hosts!

Beautiful in October 

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights during July and had a really enjoyable time. The room was simply furnished, with a comfortable bed and enough space to store luggage. No TV but hey who needs TV on Bornholm!! WiFi was provided and adequate. Breakfast included fresh fruit salad and fresh bread, cereal, eggs, bacon, cold meats and cheese etc. All of excellent quality. 
The hotel is located 100 metres from a beautiful secluded beach with it's own food and refreshment kiosk plus toilets. All very clean and litter free - us Brits could learn a lot from the Danes in this regard. Josephine and Christian who run the Hotel are perfect hosts and are always available to give advice on restaurants and attractions. We would certainly return. Recommend this hotel highly.

Perfect hotel for this destination.

The hotel has just been taken over by a young couple. They are very enthusiastic and making small improvement to the place day by day.
It is already a very nice place with a real old style beach hotel feel to it. The views are very nice - you hear the waves crashing on the
rocks (it is not really a beach for swimming). The hotel serves breakfast only - a very nice breakfast that is.
The island is small so this is a good location to start your touring whether on bike or by car.


Very nice and fresh small hotel

Very close to the water and only a short walk from a delicious small beach. Very friendly and personal service. Breakfast excellent with bread, fruit, cheese, vegetables, milk, müssli, cereal, coffee, juice, egg, bacon, marmalade, yoghurt and all the time fresh.
The place is positioned 2 km from Allinge, a lively city in the northern Bornholm with an active harbor front. Also very close to Hammershus.

Excellent position and superb personal service

Three of us spent four days in the Sandkaas Badehotel and were really delighted with the way we were welcomed and looked after. Philip and Helen are running the hotel for the first time and are really getting it right. The breakfasts were delicious and the rooms clean and comfortable. A small 'honesty' bar meant that we could serve ourselves from the coffee machine, make tea or have our gin and tonic whenever it suited us and there  was a range of seating areas inside or out in the sun. The beach is just opposite the hotel over the road. This is a top tip if you plan to visit Bornholm.
