12 reviewsThe Maruska family of Minnesota, USA stayed three days/nights at the Pelikan in Purkarec. The Pelican is a very beautiful, new hotel located on the Vltava River in a small country-side village and has a bar/restaurant. The rooms are very big with comfortable beds, good closet storage, safes, desk, TV, big bathrooms - shower is a corner neo-angle shower (not big, but adequate). The restaurant has great food, great beer - very, very affordable (almost too cheap - food & beer), with a great patio that has a view of the Vltava River and St. George Church across street. We had breakfast every morning; they served cheese, sliced meats, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, coffee, tea, milk, breads - it was a very, very good breakfast. The hotel is very clean, modern, with WI-FI.
