Avoid this place! 
Arrives at 7pm and reception door was locked. Bit of paper on the door with an attempt at information about where to get our keys. Roughly half a mile up a steep Street and round into the next one with 5 stops looking for directions, an hour passed and we were given an envelope with two keys and told to go back round with our three cases between two and help ourselves. 
Without describing the place as it's been done perfectly in all the one star reviews, I'll add that we put a cupboard against the door to sleep. Our toilet ran all night with broken chain. Wifi did not work and breakfast was like slop for farm animals. 
This is not a hotel it's like a hostel for the homeless and their dogs in the middle of a neighbourhood that's frightening. My mother and I lost our money for our 4 nights and booked another hotel leaving ourselves with not a lot to live on just to get out of it. Especially as one of the residents stood right outside our window facing in. We had the room with the trolleys at the window and I must say I will never forget this place for all the wrong reasons! 

There should be an option for no stars! 

The experience in this "hotel" -perhaps is better to characterize it as a very bad Hostel with a toilet and not remotely a 3 star hotel- was horrible! The first room they gave us smelled so much mold that it was not possible to stay. We informed the "front desk" and after strong protest they gave us another room just as bad, however with less mold. We stayed four days! Unfortunately it was not easy to leave this awful place, because we had already prepaid and we could not get a refund. They did not clean and did not change anything at all during our stay -they hadn't even changed the toiletries: a small shampoo and a small shower tube. The beds were covered with short sheets that could not hide their dreadful stains. One lamp was broken and when I tried to switch it on, we stayed in the dark all night long because nobody from the stuff was there from 11pm to help us. And the highlight of the room: one dead cockroach in my bedside table. It was a shameful, filthy and disgusting room! The yard was also dirty full with discarded supermarket trolleys. In the evening, inside the yard it was so dark that we were using the flashes from our mobiles to get inside the room. The breakfast buffet hasn't anything until the supermarkets opening and afterwards only poor Lidl type products. A single tip: STAY AWAY!!!

My Very Bad Experience in Grand Hotel, Prague Rohacova str.

did not find any good word to say. location is in a very noisy place, the place in under renovation, reception +dining room  and kitchen are at same open space and smell is accordingly.reception is closed at 19:00 and nobody can help in anything,

would not stay there again

We stay 2 days, the location is ok, rooms are good but:
1- very poor wifi, in our room was not detecting, you must be next to window!!
2- shower was not fixed well, wc is very small
3- we reserved a big room but we got another one which was half capacity !!!!

Mow you can decide !



Good location but poor hotel

This hotel is extremely cheap and you get great value for money. We weren't expecting much and in fact were worried we might have made a bad choice but it gave us everything we needed for four guys for four nights. The location is a quick tram ride or a fairly long walk away from the centre of Prague and there are plenty of nice or quirky bars nearby. 

The staff were very nice and friendly and the wifi in our room worked well. The room we stayed in was big and was quiet enough most of the time.

If you're not bothered about everything being perfect and are looking for somewhere to stay on the cheap then i would definitely recommend this hotel.
