Grandhotel Prostejov

Normally I stay at the tennis hotel when I visit Prostejov, but as it was full, I stayed here. What a lovely hotel it turned out to be! The reception is very old, even communist in style, which I love. It is not an expensive hotel, so the rooms are basic and the bathrooms inevitably need modernised, but it's all good.
Breakfast was really lovely and beautifully presented. Unfortunately,  the restaurant no longer serves dinner, but there are some really lovely restaurants in the town only a few minutes away. 
I will be continuing to stay here on my visits to the town. Nice hotel!

We arrived at the hotel quite late on friday evening. The gate to the parking lot was closed, but soon after ringing the buzzard the gate opened and we found a place for our car. The parking lot was big and parking was easy. 

In the hotel a polite man welcomed us in and served us some drinks. The room was a cool surprise, it was much bigger than thought. We got a good night sleep and there was no noise from the street below our windows. If we ever come back to Prostejov, this hotel will be our choice.

just back from a short business visit in Prostejov, I spent a night in Grand Hotel. They gave me a suite on 4st floor, very spacious, quite, clean, just restored.
Continental Breakfast sufficient.
TV sat channels only in german or checz language. I suggest to implement with english or international channels. Few services but sufficient for business (free wifi, possibility to use a printer in reception).

Very nice old hotel, newly reconstructed, restaurant is used only for breakfast, bar is quite small in the hall - that one should be reconstructed! - hopefully soon.
Nice quiet place near historical center, mostly for buisinessmann use, worthy to wisit - best in Prostejov

Beautiful hotel in the centre

A short stay, but a very nice one

Spent two nights at the Grandhotel for business nearby. I was in a small room (201) but it was adequate. The room was clean and everything functioned properly. There were two English language channels on the small television. The small bathroom had a corner shower but no problems with hot water, water pressure or drainage. The breakfast selection was limited but definitely sufficient. The check in and check out was quick and efficient and the staff courteous and professional. I would not hesitate to stay here again. 

But the highlight of the stay was the Pilsner Urquell restaurant on the main square. The staff was great, food and beer were excellent and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere inviting. We ate there both nights and had about everything on the menu. My friend found the pork ribs tasty but a little dry. I thought the Moravian Sparrow was excellent. 

Didn't see much more of Prostejov but it looked like a nice place to spend a couple of days exploring.
