Penzion Apartmány Bečov

It’s a small no-star family-ran pension on the outskirts of Becov overlooking the train station (a perfect place for train-spotters, model builders and little boys). The owners are very nice and immensely helpful. Rooms aren’t what you call ‘modern’ or ‘romantic’ and a little crumped but clean and with comfortable beds. We had the largest room which opened to a terrace shared with other guests of which fortunately there were very few so it caused no problems. Our kitchen was equipped well enough and washing-up was left to the owner (a great plus). Windows were fitted with blinds so morning Sun didn’t wake us. What did wake us was… the sawmill neighbouring the train station. Fortunately work started at eight which was a perfect time to set out for excursions. If you’re motorised and need a reasonably priced place only to sleep for a night or two, this is a good choice.
