Atlantica SunGarden Beach

Just come back from a 7 night stay at this lovely hotel and what a fantastic experience it was! Everything from the stunning views, to the rooms, to the service by staff was spot on. We had a sea view room which was just stunning. The room was cleaned every day. The food each night was lovely with so much choice. Each night was a different theme which I thought was a great idea. There was always something for the children too who at present don't have very experimental taste buds. The waiting staff were very efficient and so friendly. As were the staff on reception. Special mention to the infinity pool and the fact it was adult only as it was so relaxing! My husband and I took it in turns. I probably stayed in there longer than I should have. We also loved the fact there was a "busy" pool which has music and allowed floaties and games, and a quieter pool for those who just wanted to swim and relax. We happily spent time between the 2 at different times. The hotel is also in an ideal spot for travel by bus into the town and further afield - and were extremely regular. You could walk it but it was so hot when we went, it would have been difficult. The only thing that I thought could potentially be an issue to some people was the lack of entertainment both of an evening and during the day. Not many activities for kids going on. This personally wasn't an issue for us really as we like to get out and about but could be an issue for some. Certainly not enough of an issue to make it a 4 star review. As with many hotels, the sunbed situation was stressful if you let it be. Lots of people claiming sunbeds then going out for the morning is incredibly frustrating. And while there probably is a sunbed for every guest, many of them are to the side of the quiet pool and away from any action and views. This is fine if they are all in use and you are late to the party, but when they are getting claimed and then left for half a day it isn't fair. However this is an issue at most places and I appreciate difficult to police. It didn't get in the way of us enjoying ourselves. Would most certainly come back to this hotel and recommend to others.
