The bed was very clean and the property was quiet. As the property is a little difficult to find from the street, you may need to use the Google Map.

Great hostel with unusual accommodation, 4 minutes walk away from the main square. Sleep in a space capsule in a dorm but like your own private  room. Some of the facilities could do with a bit of TLC but overall comfortable, clean and very friendly staff

Really cool to have your own prize space capsule!!! An all around fun experience right in the heart of the old town!

Each bed has a door that is great to have privacy, and the socket and the mirror with light is the best thing! And the location of the hotel is really near to the main square and could get the tram to the bus terminal easily. And as I check-in around 2 hours later than the official working hours, the receptionist still wait for me and I really appreciate that!

I hesitate to review this hostel only because I worry it will get too popular, but as a solo traveler - couldn't have made a better hostel choice. Clean beds and capsules, comfortable showers, great location. The best party however is the perfect balance between price, privacy, and not being completely alone at the same time. The atmosphere is very respectful and the concept allows you to also shut off the outside world.

Other than the main room, it isn't heavily space themed at all, which I actually liked. Perfect for people who want to avoid the party vibe but still want to stay in a fun place for cheap. Your space is all yours, which is just great. Special thanks to Leo, Anna and Petra who made me feel like a king for a few days. I will surely come back.

Lovely stay in a clean and comfortable Hostel.

If in Zagreb/Croatia, do yourself a favor and check-in in Subspace Hostel for at least one night! Relax in a smooth and calm environment with awesome space art visuals in every wall and ceiling. Cozy bedding and great central location.

This place is absolutely amazing. The capsules are a great and unique experience, but more than anything the staff is awesome! They make this place truly magical. Tomislav is goofy and will make you feel at home from the second you walk in. Monika and Mislav are the greatest and super service oriented. They will come running at you with a chair or pillow when you're hanging out outside before you even think to ask. Leo I didn't get to know very well, but was just as friendly and awesome as the rest. All of them really make this hostel a great place and they're always in for a chat.
The capsules itself are a bit of luxury for a very small price. My suggestion would be to go for the medium or most luxurious capsules for the best experience

I was only there overnight but the receptionist was lovely. I loved the pod style and loved the privacy. The theme was awesome and I had a great stay overall. Would definitely come back.

All of the staff were very friendly and willing to help. I really enjoyed the hostel with its unique setup and vibe. It was very comfortable and clean. However, I thought a lot of the things in the facility was breaking down. The door for my capsule kept on falling from disconnecting from each other. And, I often had trouble with the lock on the locker.

It was a really cool concept with the space theme. Although you got great privacy with possibility to close the capsule door, you could still hear the surroundings. The guy over me talked in the phone for like three hours in the evening and I heard a lot of that because the capsule are very plastic. I did not get my TV to work (which did not bother me though) and the air con was more of a fan than an AC, it was pretty warm in my capsule. The toilets and showers were a bit dirty and the showers did not have any curtains although it looked like there has been before.Over all, fun to stay at for one night, but not ideal for a longer stay for me personally.

If you're staying in Zagreb I'd definitely recommend staying here. The location is ideal and easy to find with google maps. It's so nice to have privacy whilst travelling and that's what this hostel provides. It's nice to have some peace and quiet in the pod but also being able to talk to others if you'd like. I'd stay here again.

Absolutely love it!!

Space-themed pod hostel in a good central location. The staff, particularly the two gentlemen in the night shift, are very welcoming and helpful. The pods feel closer to a hotel room vs. a bunk bed. Each pod has 2 fan vents, a tv, mirror, regular lights, black lights, reading lights, and a small shelf and hook. The higher end pod has a larger tv, and a foldable lap desk. Out of the three categories, the lowest one has a front loading design while the other two have a horizontal opening. Fun and unique stay for all ages.

Unique Space-Themed Hostel in a Great Location

This place is very unique and comfortable with a space theme which made this stay interesting. The staff is exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful, particularly the two gentlemen in the night shift (didn't catch their names). Each pod is enclosed with a door but feels very roomy and comfortable inside, not claustrophobic at all if that is a concern...it's no different in feeling like a bunk bed except with more privacy, room, and comfort. There are fan vents inside each pod, as well as a t.v., mirror, regular lights and black lights, small shelf to place your belongings, a foldable lap desk, and usb charger. There are also lockers for your bags which are large, though not large enough for a suitcase...but there is plenty of space to leave your luggage by your pod. The showers and toilets are in vertical pods on the same floor. Everything is on the same floor, you will only need to carry luggage down some steps into the lobby.Highly recommended as a unique and memorable stay in the middle of the city center! Note: I am in my 30's and enjoyed the space theme...it's not cheesy or just for kids.

Cute Place to Stay With Space Theme

SubSpace Hostel has a pod/capsule concept that makes it unique. Each capsule has a TV, different lighting modes, USB inputs and an electric outlet. Full privacy with sliding doors. Toilets and showers in great conditions. I would suggest adding a few details to the showers and toilets area, nothing big. Staff is awesome, they really make you feel welcome, definitely a good experience. Definitely recommend.

Go, stay, enjoy!  The 2 young men working there are so helpful with directions around the city, using the tram, etc..even just to make small talk.  I also witnessed one cleaning the capsules this morning as I was checking out and he did a very thorough job of wiping down the capsules and changing the fresh linens.  
The capsule is private, quiet, and just an experience!  (Only 1 AC vent worked in mine and the employee apologized for this, so it was very hot to sleep, so check your vents when u check in).
The location is perfectly in the city center.  Lots to do nearby. Zagreb is a great city!
My only Con is not staying longer.
